Or we'll buy someone else, or nobody and the world will continue to turn.......

I think that as a unit we'd just like to see a bit more added to the squad in certain areas to maybe help us not have a nervous season.

It is utterly key to our survival chances that we hit the ground running and pick up points from what is a fairly easy start to the season so it may be more important to have the cohesion we showed last season rather than trying to integrate a lot of new faces.

I can see the likes of Villa being down low in the first few weeks as they will have to integrate a new CB/CM and CF.

The good news from Germany is that Olsson is making good progress. May be touch and go for the Palace game, but not likely to miss more than that. Our frustration is one thing, but that of AN is far more important:

“We’re in dialogue with different clubs but I am frustrated as anybody else, I can assure you of that,” he said. “We are waiting on things to happen. I would rather know if they are not going to come here then we can move onto the next one, and that is the frustration. We are chasing things and waiting for either a yes or no answer from players we have identified.”

The Brady situation has been too public, because Hull resorted to media releases for leverage.

Similar negotiation must happen all the time, but Bruce and Co keep fuelling the fire and making a story that the journalists feed on because there's so little actual football to report.

Makes me happy Norwich usually do these things behind closed doors and very few whispers get out.

Thing is, if you wait too long you end up panic buying a load of old crap. See QPR.

HITC is such a crap website. I really hate it, makes my computer crash and it's mostly bollocks.

I like Lambert and think he could do a job for us and I think he might have a couple of years left in him at a push, but I don't think we should be paying more than about £3m, certainly not more than the amount Liverpool paid Southampton for him

I reckon Liverpool are the least sane club when it comes to over paying for players although both of the Manc clubs appear to run them close. I suppose they have to offer the players megabucks as the lure of playing for Liverpool has diminished somewhat, whereas players do want to join clubs who challenge for honours and get CL football season in, season out.

Liverpool strike me as being a bit like the sad old blokes hanging around Chicago's with shirts undone to the navel flashing gold chains desperately trying to attract something young to bring back their glory days and always end up buying champagne for some ropey old boiler wearing too much make-up and wearing something tight in a leopard skin print.

LOL <laugh>

Yeah saw that this morning, good signing for them that I reckon, wouldn't have wanted us to sign him though as not sure he's quite what we need.

Surprised none of us have replied to this link .
Rickie is a top top player & totally humble and decent person . He has had the chance at his home club ( No not us ;-) ) They seem to regard him as surplus to requirements .
The one big stopper from his point of view ( never southamptonpools asking price ) going to you is IMHO the distance between Liverpool & Norwich .
Either way I honestly hope you ( and Sir Richard of Lambert ) all the best for next season . Except for 4 games of course ;-)
pS - Ref Wages , he's not greedy like some ex - Saints .........
