Pleased with that.

I can see both Tettey and Mulumbu starting together in centre-midfield against certain opposition.

So everyone is happy with the signing? Not sure what to think at the moment. I like a player who will give Tetty a rest, could play with Tetty away at the big teams, and has Premiership experience. On a free, that sounds a great signing. I am just wondering, why of all managers, Pulis would let him go on a free? Isn't he everything that typifies a Pulis team? Wonder what is personality is like, maybe he doesnt put the work in, in training that Tony Expects? I dunno. Seems strange. I thought he'd be a useful squad player for a team like West Brom.

His contract was up, that's why he was free and not a lot the manager could do. I'll admit to not seeing him play a lot, but reading comments about him, he seems like a good signing and someone we needed to help out Tettey.

He and Tettey could well play together as they complement each other quite well. Mulumbu is better at link-up play than Tettey with through balls to attacking players and such and is still strong when dropping back to screen the defence. He played that role alongside Yacob at WBA until Fletcher came in. I suspect both Johnson and Dorrans will play in more forward roles now. Very pleased with this.

Good news, although to be honest I'd been counting him as signed since he favourited the BBC tweet about him joining.

You obviously have more faith in Twitter than I have Bath! <laugh>

Mulumbu was West Brom's PotS (both players and fans) in his first year in the PL so lets hope this move brings that out in him again! He has also captained his country so yet another leader on the pitch will help as well.

Rumours in Twitter are as true as anywhere else. But when the player himself favourites news about him signing. It's pretty much a done deal.

Others have already responded - but also to add the point was that he doesn't fit with Pulis's style of play as opposed to attitude (which is one of his strengths). Not suiting Pulis's style seems more of a good thing to my mind.

I think this could prove to be a brilliant value signing. If he plays anything like as well as he did against us in Hughton's last match on a regular basis, he'll be first name on the team sheet

It's more than Pulis' style though Rob. When Pulis brought Fletcher in, they had 3 DMs, so one had to go and Mulumbu was nearest the end of his contract. He was PotS for them (players and fans) in their first year back in the PL, and many of their fans are sorry to see him go. Like you, I think this is a brilliant signing which will make a huge difference in the PL this year. The official site has posted 10 photos, one of which is a big hug with Seb at the end of the match you mention. I think Seb will be pleased as well.

And a lively manager as well, Cromer. I loved AN's take on this:

"The fact that we've been able to pick Youssouf up on a free transfer is a fantastic piece of business. He has vast experience of the Premier League but he's still at a good age. You generally say that a player comes into their peak between 27 and 32, and he's right in the middle of that. He's another fantastic player to add to an already-strong squad going into the Premier League."

Beware!

From what I've read, it seems a lot of fans are pleased with this signing, however I do not know much about him and what his strengthens are or what qualities he will bring to the side. If possible could someone please inform me of his main strengthens and qualities.

Brilliant signing with the sort of Premier League experience we are going to need. Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but anyone know when pre-season training starts?
