Ditto, he's a fabulous player and showed last season that he still has it. Whether or not he could start week in, week out I'm not sure, but when you look at the impact Cambiasso had at Leicester at the age of 35 then I definitely think he could do a very, very good job for us.

First bit of transfer news to get me excited, I'm 95% certain it won't happen, but it's nice even imagining it.

PEOPLE! Calm down. It was on 'Norwich City Rumours' and has been covered nowhere else.

Let's not get silly now!

What salary would be expect? No brainer for me. This is in response to Rosickey story. If he wants to be within our pay scale, then maybe.

Google tells me he's on somewhere between £75k and £85k per week (£4m a year).

If this is to hold any water, it would be we get him on a season loan as his contract expires summer 2016. We'd then presumably "only" pay a proportion of his salary.

But I suspect Munky and JK are correct and that it's not going to happen, unfortunately

Wenger had an option to extend his contract a year and took it.
Non starter.

Lowton could be a good shout as he's experienced in the PL and though normally a RB, he can also cover at LB. Given that Olsson doesn't miss many matches, that might be enough cover on both sides, with Whittaker and Miquel also able to cover at LB.

Hmmm, I'd hope we're looking at a higher calibre of player than Lowton. He's only backup at the moment at a struggling Villa for a reason.

It's interesting that a lot of players we're being linked to are also linked to championship sides. Supposedly Hughton has agreed a £1.4m price to buy that young Iranian winger, but he's stalling in case a bigger club comes in. At that price he might be worth a punt, and won't count towards our squad limit.

Personally think Lowton would be good. Was exceptional in lamberts first year at villa and probably just needs a change of scenery to get going again. Although I think lambert questioned his attitude when wanting a new contract....
