Indeed it does <ok> Basically could have been written by one of many who contribute on here, based on the sentiments expressed.
Thought this bit was a tad harsh though:

Cast your mind back to our first season under Paul Lambert in this league. You score one, we’ll score one. Attack together, defend together. Never give up until the final whistle.
In contrast to this, under Chris Hughton the style of football was negative and defensive, and invited the likes of Hazard and Suarez to have a very pleasurable time at Carrow Road.

<whistle>

Yes it was a bit harsh, Lambert surely said "You score one, we’ll score two!"

Bah!

BBC gossip has a sun link suggesting:

"Middlesbrough are planning a £14m bid for Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes, 25, which would be the biggest deal for a Championship player"

I know that he has a rather good goal scoring record in the championship, but £14M! I actually hadn't realized that he was still only 25. Seems to have been around longer than that! But still £14M, really? Believe it when I see it!

Bah!

I tend to agree with you and certainly don't feel he is worth that!!!!

The very fact that no PL team, however desperate, have made any real attempt to sign him would be testement to the fact that he is not worth anything like that. The fact is, Blackburn paid Huddersfield £8m, which was well over the odds for then.

As said before, I think we should move on to Alonso now and I wonder if McNally might be doing just that. Fiorentina isn't far from where the squad is now. I also read the MFW article earlier and agreed with the emphasis on maintaining team spirit and am sure that AN will be aiming for just that. Paying over the odds for a player can put pressure on the player and unsettle others in the squad. Also, CB and striker/AM are far more important positions for spending big .

On Hull, it amused me to see that a number of Italian clubs have been interested in Hernandez and also N'Doye has been desperate to leave, but all interested clubs are being put off by... the very high asking prices. Shock, horror!

N'Doye has a £3.5m release clause, for a striker who's scored 5 in his first 15 Premier League games, it's peanuts.

Hernandez cost us £10m and so far, all the interest has just been for a loan and we really want him gone permanently.

And N'Doye is rated as £4.9m-£7.1m on Transfermarkt. <laugh>

More flexible than Garrido - he can play CB (he's tall) and even left-midfield. Garrido was basically exclusively a LB other than his crossing ability - I think he was put at LM once but just simply wasn't mobile enough?

DM is with the squad in Germany. I know nothing about Alonso but as cover for Olssen what does he give us that Garrido didn't?

I meant that he might have popped over to Italy from Germany, 1950. Not far to go. Alonso is also taller at 6'2", which makes him viable as a left-sided CB and his height gives him a better chance of blocking crosses when at LB. That he can also play at LM is a further bonus.
