I wouldn't want to get rid of Hooper... every time I have seen him playing I have been impressed by his work effort and general skill

We can't get rid of Hooper now, Even with Mbokani coming in.Jerome, Mbokani and Lafferty is still a weak selection to account for injuries, fatigue and making tactical changes. I think we need a Striker and a CB still. Feels really unlikely we will do both. If we do somehow manage it, what a deadline day for a change! I can see Maybe Walters coming in...But now WBA are interested, could maybe see Sadio going to Spurs and Pulis reuniting with Walters. If the foreign leagues can't buy anymore, and didn't get cover, It's unlikely we will sign a first team CB. They won't be able to replace him.

When does the Greek window shut? Did Laffs make his move or is there still time?

Edit: just checked looks like Greece window is shut, so won't be a permanent deal. Not sure if they can do loans still.

I'm guessing Afobe isn't happening now, hence us finally pushing through the Mbokani deal, which is a real shame as from speaking to several Arsenal fans I'd got myself rather excited about that prospect. Significantly less excited about Mbokani, of whom I have far lower expectations, though Sunday's game screamed out for a bigger, more physical presence up front so hopefully he can provide that at least.

And contrary to my writing off of The Wolf last season, I'm genuinely disappointed that he's not been given a crack this year, particularly as he was able to get himself off the mark last week which surely would have given a massive boost to his confidence - an area generally accepted to be his Achilles heel.
Ah well, I have faith in the gaffer and McNasty to have made the right decisions, just hope they end up bearing fruit.

Haha, that was my iPhone self editing. Didn't notice as I'm checking between hedge cutting. Even put the cap F in front of it.

Mbokani's first interview:

Interesting point about french speakers in there. Mulumbu, Bassong, Tettey, Andreu and Odjidja all speak french to varying degrees, so that should help him settle in.

Steven Naismith has been mentioned before on here, and is back again. Not too unhappy about that. Typical AN target. Hard worker, not totally sure how many goals he would get. Worried a solid defender rumour hasn't emerged yet.
