I'm not so concerned about that - as you say he's trying to take pressure off. But also it depends how you read it, it's also a bit of a challenge to the players we are trying to sign "you're being arrogant". If anything it might have a positive impact on our chances of getting a player in if they've got the right attitude. I think I'm less concerned about the media's attitude towards us (we're already little old Norwich) and more in the way it sounds to our own players and the opposition.

In brighter news, nothing on here about the good news of a 2-year extension for the Murphys? Also see we are in talks with Toffolo
Agree mate, with the impression he's trying to give. Also, the Murphy brothers signing better contracts is fantastic, and would love to see Toffolo follow. That is a good news boost! :)

If West Ham can play a 16 year against Arsenal away marking Ozil then I'm sure we can blood the Murphy boys this season.
Agree. With Brady filling in at left back while Olsons out, I'd have Johnson and Howsen in the middle, and we could give Josh a Prem start on the left.

Well that scuppers that idea then
Josh is obviously a bit ahead of Jacob. When you look at the sub appearances Josh gets. Would have been harder for Jacob but would have wanted him around the squad, or loaned to a championship club. Bit disappointing he's playing for Coventry. At least he'll get first team experience.

Villa good on the ball, look more direct and high tempo than Lamberts side, But not quality in the box. Reminds me a lot of us. United look solid, Darmian, Mata, and Januzaj Look class.

In the absence of any real news, it's about time this was regurgitated one more time? :emoticon-0112-wonde

"Dynamo Kiev just agreed to release Dieumerci Mbokani against my modest sum of 6 million euros. It will take the direction of Norwich City, promoted to the Premier League. They see in our Leopard striker they are looking for several weeks. The transfer will be formalized in a few hours or even days."

A leopard eh?

Gayle isn't very good. Ask any Palace fan. I imagine he must be what, fifth, sixth choice there now? His reputation (if he has one) is borne from that performance against Liverpool which prevented them taking the title. He'd be a poor signing, especially given the price tag supposedly around his neck, who wouldn't give us anything we
