Sat in front of two lads on a hot and sweaty train yesterday. I was gently snoozing but was suddenly aware that they were talking football and had the need of a striker. Suddenly I was all ears.
Apparently this one lad had heard from a source at the club that they were trying to buy a new wonder kid. Apparently both us and Middlesbrough are interested too.
I never did figure out which team they supported but they did mention the kid’s name …Roy Race.
Didn’t hear much else after that as I was desperately trying not to piss myself. Hadn’t got the heart to tell them that their “source” was taking the piss.
By my calculations Roy would be in his mid eighties now. Still, probably a better option to Dykes.

The U23s are supposed to be “bench ready” for the firsts. My son had trials with the 23s at Bristol City (when Bobby Reid was there) and was told that. He enjoyed the experience but didn’t make the grade.

Beale says that he's hoping to bring in 1 or 2 more this week, with ideally a right back and a different sort of midfielder. He doesn't expect us to be making other transfers as we're not Man City ! Hello, so no other left back to cover Paal and no striker to cover all the ones we have who won't score 10 between them ? It's abundantly clear from what he said that Mcnamara is the right back, and blamed ongoing contract debates for causing holdups and confusions. Nothing to do with the fact we've only offered half of the minimum they value him at ! So far we haven't spent a penny on transfers and we pocketed 810k for De Wijs, if we don't get another left back in then we are clueless and will be in complete **** if Paal gets injured. Les and Co already know Nico is utter minge and we have no other left backs in the squad. The possibility of getting Archer is looking a forlorn one too as Gerrard has intimated that he wants him around the first team squad or probably in it now. We will have a competitive starting 11 with everyone fit barring a proven goalscorer, after that the options look rather bleak. I was hoping we would give Beale a decent chance of implementing his style and hopefully give it a good go this season, but I'm starting to fear it could be a very difficult season. Let's hope we pull off a few more decent last minute deals aswell as this week's to at least give us cover in every position !

So it'll be Dykes and Bonne, time for the hail Marys...

Does anyone know anyone that knows Raheem, as I am really not convinced that he is a decent person. This is totally based on a perception in watching him play and his interviews, I am probably totally wrong and out of order with this, but thus my question.

He's a former QPR player so he's loaded with decency.
