Not personally no, I've worked with coaches who have. He was always in and around the 1st team so escaped my clutches. He us an excellent trainer and looks brilliant in training scenarios. I've watched many sessions involving him and I can see why Bielsa rated him. His movement is great, its decision making that was always his let down but that's an area that can be coached at any age. This is a very good signing in my opinion. A total no brainer. If it doesn't work out then its not cost us a great deal.
He was only signed to a new 3 year contract up there last summer, they must see something in him. Welcome, knock us out.
It's a mixed bag amongst the Leeds fan base. They are a fickle lot! Some think it's a great loan, give him some consistency in match time and get him back a better player. Others, he became the scapegoat for what was nearly a disaster of a season.by that I mean, he was their only real attacking option off the bench and if he didn't come on and score then he was ****.
This signing to me is probably what I've been waiting for to get a tad excited about the upcoming season. Don't get me wrong, he's not superb but he is a good player who will only get better with experience. The 3 signings we have made, seem to me, to be very shrewd and potentially profitable.
Now we just have to find that 'mythical' 20 plus goal striker that already isn't on 30k a week or on the radars of bigger clubs.
'Great championship player' ''Hopefully regain that form that made him stand out" "Quality signing for you lot" "Can't believe we would let him go" Some of the messages I've been receiving regarding Roberts
Think it was just for the first sell on unfortunately, I'd be staggered if we get 20% of this sell on but would be delighted !
9 goals in 101 appearances for Leeds. Am I missing something to get excited about other than a new face?
We are getting a young premier league and international attacking midfielder, hungry to forge a career. I'm really not too sure what people are expecting of our club in the transfer window. This is a shrewd bit of business, a loan and adds to a squad, giving more options, he can play all across the midfield.
He could be a total flop Col, that's the shrewd thing about it being a loan. Let's be honest, if he was either (a) a superb player, (b) a 20 plus goal scorer then Leeds wouldn't be sending him out or we wouldn't be getting him. I would love to see a striker sign who could guarantee that but this lad ain't a striker and I don't think we have got him in to play striker.
The first 3 signings of Beales QPR reign seem to be very positive. Early to mid twenties, experience at decent levels, looking for a club to call their own. Hopefully one or two more added and we will be able to compete consistently.
Well this better be complete bollox or we are defo not gonna score enough ! 35 years old, legs completely gone, I'd much rather have kept Charlie or Gray. Has to be rubbish
The right back from Millwall would be an excellent addition, unfortunately we have to pay something for him, so no guarantee we'll get him. I get the feeling we are pinning alot on getting Archer on loan and possibly the other Villa kid Tim.
Beale added: "I am delighted to bring Tyler in. I spoke with him about his future. He had a lot of other offers but he wanted to come here which was massive. "He fits our profile really well. He is very flexible, is at a fantastic age and already has excellent experience."
