Has there been any more news about this Luca Connell from Celtic? Lennon reckoned it was between us and Barnsley.

well done smug for calling available for pompey

"well done smug for calling available for pompey".

I've been travelling the country, following the lads, for 50 years.

For no other reason I've loads of friends in the media, the game but mainly just ordinary supporters.

All kinds of people tell me things, most of which I can't post which kills me.

I'd love to be able to tell you all what I hear but, if I did, people would clam up.

I could make myself a hero on here but a zero with people I know from all those years.

struggling to remember all the moves to be honest (head been up me arse the past few weeks) but from what i have seen and can remember, the club have done well without throwing cash everywhere and got good competition/cover for most if not all positions.

also, for what seems like the first time in forever, these lads are joining a club still improving rather than being thrown in as a last gasp effort to stop some rot or other, not even a sniff of a 'panic buy', they all seem to have been almost hand picked, identified early and plenty of effort to get deals done rather than the recent few years 'fell through' reports.

let's not forget, though...these lads are honest, hard working players who i am sure will do their very best...do not expect premier style prima donnas, give them a chance, eh?

Shout out to the owner for backing Parky, said he would and so he has. This window has proven very fruitful and gone better than expected for sure.

Yeah, he said they were looking to bring 5 in and he has. Not just that, the signings seem well thought out, to actually fit the way we play, which is a refreshing change.Well Done SD

Parkinson on Semenyo

“I’m pleased we have been able to bring Antoine to the club. He’s got pace and power which are qualities we highlighted and wanted to add to the squad.

“We look forward to working with him and he goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game at Portsmouth.”

Semenyo reacts to signing

He said:

“It’s been a long wait to get the deal done, but it’s finally signed and I’ve joined a great club. It’s got so much history and I’ve heard so many great things about it from lots of people, so I’m proud to be a part of that.

“I’m looking forward to working with the manager because I want to improve every day. I can’t wait to get started.”

I think we need to give Parky (and SD) some thanks here. He said he had identified that we needed pace and power. He has stuck to his guns and hopefully he and us will now get our reward
