If the rumour re the man city kid currently at QPR is true it would have to be a right kick in the teeth for messrs robson, embleton and mumba.

Mumba's playing Right Back at the minute from everything I've heard so not really an issue for him - Embleton still recovering from injury I think - agree re Robson mind - but he's been overlooked by 2 managers now so wonder if there's something they see that we don't?

I'd love to have Embleton available again/ His energy and delivery of set pieces is tremendous. Good with both feet too

Mumba has been tried and played a few games at rb but his preferred role (iirc ) is as a cm.
He got rave reviews playing there when ross first came in and we had injury problems.
Tbf o9 has been playing out of position at rwb. He is another midfielder.
Ultimately if the player is good enough he will get a game.
I would think all those mentioned might accept the likes of docherty twatting a game but not a 20 yo loanee at QPR who cant get a game.
I just dont see the logic, but what do I ( and most others ) know?

Having read a number of rumours - it looks like Parkinson wants a whole team of captains!! Got Bristol City's, After Shrewsbury's (apparently)!! Wonder what's next

I think Mumba was a CM but has been moved into a RB role byu the academy. He's only a kid so having a single defined position isn't always the best thing. Embleton news I'm really disappointed by - early in November, he'll be out for a "few months" and it's a long term injury. Gutted!!

Ashley Fletcher couldn't hit a barn door for us but scored at this level - a championship reserve is normally good enough for this division, much like a PL reserve is good enough for the championship.

That said, I know nothing about the City lad but if he can;t get a game for QPR then would it be prudent to sign him? (not IMO) Only the gaffer would know I guess!!

Have you heard something recent re Embleton? Last I heard he was joining in training last week

Shame as I would rather have him with the squad than Grigg. Only takes a couple of knocks to leave us well short up front.
looks almost certain we not spend a penny this windows so Donald lied again in his radio Newcastle interview

Just from an article in November! I hope you’re right as I rate him. The article said he’s months away from a return and was from early November. Although I suppose, technically we are months from then!!

Seems like there’s been an unwelcome development according to the other thread - curses!
