Sounds as if they've bumped the loan fee right up if its put championship teams off.
But we dont know if they have bumped up the wage repayment because of who we are.
His wage is his wage and is paid by rangers.
Maybe eg shrewsbury paid 25% but rangers want us to pay 50%.
Plenty of fans bleat about wasting money on mercenary players etc etc . Maybe safc are saying that rangers have moved the goalposts.

League 1 players seldom move for transfer fees on the whole. However fees are involved in loans so its nonsense to say we spend nothing. Our last fee of note has turned out to be an unmitigated disaster as we signed a player who clearly has zero interest In being here except to pick up his wages!!
