Parkinson's been talking about Robson going back on loan to Grimsby and he's already spoken to Holloway about it, he also wasn't in the Wycombe squad so I'm not sure he's in Parkinson's plans for the near future.

Besides that's only one player we need cover for both Power and Dobson, also need a RB a LB and cover for the wingers. As far as I'm concerned Leadbitter is already filling the experienced and classy 'always played at a higher level' DM role and getting a better version of him would be a poor use of resources.
Presser today he said:

"Ethan Robson has come back and trained really wellbut we haven’t seen him in a game situation yet.

That's a glowing reference from fans of both the clubs he's played for recently. Certainly seems to fit the 'pace and power' criteria that Parky said he wanted. Will provide healthy competition for Power and Dobson, and keep them on their toes.

Really looking forward to seeing him in a red and white shirt, providing we can get him over the line.
This. Good to hear

Is this the transfer Parkinson was on about when he said we’ll pick it up after the weekend game. ?

He didn't name any names but yeah seems very much like it. His club have picked up an unexpected injury or two and they need him for the weekend.

Sounds similar to Ozturk who's been doing well. You need at least one CB who is willing to have the ball smashed in their face or nads if it stops a goal.

Sunderland are targeting a Rangers double swoop as they look to add Jamie Murphy to the loan capture of Greg Docherty this month, Football Insider has learned.

The League One big hitters have admitted they are working on a deal for Docherty, 23, and have also made a move this week for his 30-year-old teammate.

A Sunderland source has told Football Insider that the club have tabled a loan offer for central midfielder Docherty and have also registered their interest in winger Murphy.

Sunderland are in pole position to beat Charlton Athletic to the temporary signing of Docherty.

Burton Albion had been leading the race to take Murphy on loan for the rest of the season, but the Black Cats are also keen.

I don’t think Hume will be going anywhere soon.
I dont get this logic.
In his relatively short career he has already been exposed to both ends of the spectrum from high praise to fans jeering at him. This fickleness wont go unnoticed.
It's a short career and I expect right now ( like maja was ) he is amongst the lower paid players.
He will have watched maja get a very hefty pay increase and long contract. After a slow start he has established himself and is getting admiring glances far and wide.
Loyalty, badge kissing etc is very quaint but has little place in the modern game.
A similar move could set the lad up for life in a game where a late tackle could end a career in a moment.

don’t get what you don’t get about “my logic” tbh, he’s a young local lad who’s worked his way into a team that’s playing well and moving towards the top of the table and hopefully promotion.
Why would he want to go to another team and start from scratch again?
