Why wouldn't they join them? they had a good Premier League finish, have some very good players, a good manager and a large stadium. They also pay good wages.

Benteke is a great option for anyone (you just need a manager that knows how to use him and players that can pass to him), but WestHam have a very similar model already so why waste the money on something they already have.
Yeh they have Carroll but he's also injured a lot and I feel that in the right team Benteke is the better player, providing you play to his strengths.
But I suspect you're right, unfortunately.

He is, so is Carroll. Klopp did want him at Dortmund but he had players that could pass to him there.
