Why wouldn't they join them? they had a good Premier League finish, have some very good players, a good manager and a large stadium. They also pay good wages.
Benteke is a great option for anyone (you just need a manager that knows how to use him and players that can pass to him), but WestHam have a very similar model already so why waste the money on something they already have.
Yeh they have Carroll but he's also injured a lot and I feel that in the right team Benteke is the better player, providing you play to his strengths. But I suspect you're right, unfortunately. I'd be surprised if they come in for Benteke, but who would they go for? (In the PL anyway)
He is, so is Carroll. Klopp did want him at Dortmund but he had players that could pass to him there. Maybe when he gets some of his own players in you will see Benteke used correctly

Bit too late now but Defoe would have done really well with the likes of Payet and Lanzini feeding him I don't think they will go for a PL striker, Bilic will have contacts beyond these shores.
