Yeah,I think his distribution is the biggest issue but that can be worked on
He's 27 - if he hasn't improved on the basics of kicking the ball by now, then he never will IMO.

Goalies it is nearing 40ish for hanging up boots so plenty of time to improve. If he was a player I would be more worried. He's 27 - if he hasn't improved on the basics of kicking the ball by now, then he never will IMO.

Can't believe people defend Mignolet, they guy is just so so average. Cech, Coirtois, De Gea, Hart and Lloris are all leagues ahead of him and the type of quality we should have in goal.Mignolet is a 2nd keeper at best, good shot stopper yes, but shouldn't all keepers? He has no other attributes
I would be surprised if we don't upgrade Migs soon given the abundance of talent in Germany at the moment.
Timo Horn, Karius and Leno are all upgrades and cheap as well.
maybe, don't trust that jimmyTrapp?

Not sure I posted this yesterday but there's a big rumour that we have a deal in place for Porto's Rubén Neves. He's a defensive midfielder in the Busquets mould - very good tackler and excellent passer. He captained the team recently and is only 18, and bossed Chelsea in the CL.
If this is true, it would represent a massive signing. Quality young player.
I actually think we have a decent (not world beating) midfield that will fit Klopp tactics better than the did Rodgers.
Can, Hendo and Lucas will work well in CM behind the attacking mid.
Klopp doesn't play with much width in AM. I think Lala who was useless with Rodgers might actually do ok with Klopp more central with two others close by. Then Coutinho. Studge or Ings will probably play in this role too if Benteke is used in the Lewd cow role.
We also have Firm who people claim is great but was Crap under Rodgers. If Klopp can get best out of him we're not too weak.
I've always been a big critic of Lala but I'm making a bold prediction and saying he won't be too bad under Klopp.
Migs has to go. Makes some good saves occasionally but his distribution is too poor and frequently plays the ball too dangerously to the opposition. A new GK is needed before too long.
We actually have good players for the gegenpress he plays. All the midfielders holding a tight unit, with the attacking players sticking close together - FB's offering the width.
So in that sense: Clyne and Moreno bombing forward, everyone else compact and pressing high. Change Migs imo, and we're in an alright shape for the gegenpress.
