Indeed keeper needed desperately plus a CD who can play alongside Sakho.

I know skrtel is bad but I don't think a cd will offer much more protection.

I I think players like lovren need to be given a chance under klopp. It's a fresh slate and he might suit Klopps play a lot better.

I actually think we have a decent (not world beating) midfield that will fit Klopp tactics better than the did Rodgers.

Can, Hendo and Lucas will work well in CM behind the attacking mid.

Klopp doesn't play with much width in AM. I think Lala who was useless with Rodgers might actually do ok with Klopp more central with two others close by. Then Coutinho. Studge or Ings will probably play in this role too if Benteke is used in the Lewd cow role.

We also have Firm who people claim is great but was Crap under Rodgers. If Klopp can get best out of him we're not too weak.

I've always been a big critic of Lala but I'm making a bold prediction and saying he won't be too bad under Klopp.

Migs has to go. Makes some good saves occasionally but his distribution is too poor and frequently plays the ball too dangerously to the opposition. A new GK is needed before too long.

    Klopp's Mannschaft likes this.

  7. All players will get a chance unless they are seriously bad in training. If the latter happens then you have to question why Brod played them.

I'm not as big a critic of Skrtel as most. I don't dislike him. I think he's ok. I just think we can do better and he should be backup not 1st team. A bit like Allen: does a job but should be more squad level not always picked.

Another problem with Migs though is he is inconsistent. He can be good a few months and then Crap a few months. Goalkeeper is the last place you want someone inconsistent in form.

He's by far not worst player in team. But for those worse we have alternatives. Not sure if Bogdan us good enough to be alternative.

I wouldn't say very good. He is a brilliant shot stopper but he's really poor in other areas such as command of box, communication and distribution. Klopp relies on quick counter attacks so speed of distribution is crucial.

I wouldn't say it's harsh to upgrade a player because we should always look to do that but we have to raise levels - Migs now isn't Better than an in form Reina, who was top class.

Would like to see Migs in a team with a competent back line... he's saved us more than a few times since his *awful* period last year.

Don't think he'll ever be Reina but I don't think he's ever had the chance to change his style. Too worried about what the guys in front of him are about to do.

Midfield needs big improvement - the only two who are good enough in this current team are Can and Henderson.

Lucas is too slow and immobile in a Klopp team and he'll struggle. Milner simply isn't a CM.

  13. Just like you've just said for Skrtel; nothing wrong with him but he could be improved on.

Wouldn't be my first target for replacement

yeah i agree with yoda, although i am not convinced that much by migs he has never had a decent defence in front of him.

    miss reina though.

I agree - he needs more protection and so do the defence. The issues lie with our midfield and have done since Alonso and Mash left.

However, the good thing about seeing these players exposed is that it exposes and highlights their weaknesses as well. Giving them protection only masks their inefficiencies. Looking at Sakho, has zero protection from those in front of him and he has a young and raw left back next to him, and a selfish CB on his right. But still puts in quality performances - this is because he is not reliant on others in order to play well.

  16. Agreed. Just think it's harsh to isolate Migs immediately. We have bigger problems in midfield and defence

Lol there's plenty wrong with Skrtel!

GK, RCB and DM would be my priorities.

Would effectively help resolve the entire defensive unit. So many quality German keepers out there with low release clauses such as Timo Horn and Kaurius.

Oh it won't just be Migs - just posted that we need upgrades in RCB and DM as well.

Few tweaks here and there and this is the making of a good squad.

Harsh on Mig, he has his weaknesses but he has improved since last year. Coming off his line and punching crosses he's far better than he was.

Hes not not perfect but I wouldn't be replacing him before a few others.

Yeah,I think his distribution is the biggest issue but that can be worked on
