According to Ballague.City bid on pedro!!!!
welllllllll
then thing there is lallan was sought PRIOR to the world cup so if we think lfc had thought squarez was staying then he could not be said replacement. I think given the position rodgers bought lallana to replace coutinho who at the time coudl not last 90mins.
Now 25mil on lallana was atrocious...
but... if suarez left and then after it in comes markoivc and we are left with not enough money to get a good striker? well... at the very worst we should be saying it was extremely poor judgement to buy for the future when the now was lacking.
however you could be right on the 4231... i don't think always is right he started more of a 433 with wide men but 4231 and 433 are not that far apart.
Yep, in hindsight, we should have spent the £20m Marko on someone more refined but he is definitely someone for the future.
But Lallana for me was always going to be a starter - he was the marquee signing of the summer and Rodgers's number 1 target. By default, he was the Suarez replacement - spending £25m for a player to rotate with Coutinho wouldn't make sense (but then again, this is Rodgers we're talking about!)

yeah I agree he was... and i think coutinho was the guy he was dropping not sterling. he was never a direct suarez replacement.
I just think 36mil plus a combined 16-180k of wages would have got a half decent striker... hell it would have got benteke![]()
Beforehand it was your opinion (luv was another one who said it, I seem to remember). Hindsight tells you you were right.I agree with everything but that. I clearly said it would be a mistake before we signed him so hindsight as nothing to do with it in my eyes![]()

AC Milan apparently interested in Lucas. Think if we can get £7m for him then take it as he clearly isn't in Rodgers plans
I'd be really sorry to see Lucas go, he's been a model professional and a great servant to the club. He's still got a lot to offer but obviously not in BR's plans as already mentioned. Quite concerning that in 3 years he's swept the club clean [bar Skrtel, who's obviously next].

I think you need to change your name to Jimmy Stoneheart, there's not a scrap of sentiment in there is thereModel professional who has had to consistently fight his way into the team. But even at his peak, he was not good enough.
Wish him all the best.

It's concerning for me that we now have no world class or knocking on the door world class or top internationals in the side - Coutinho maybe classed as knocking on the door as I rate him highly - but which top teams have done anything without top players? Is it concerning? Cleaned up players who before he came hadn't finished in top 4 for 3/4 years and were big earners.

Who has he got rid of that you'd suggest as world class or knocking on the door? Lucas? Agger? Reina?
Those and Gerrard, Kuyt [top international], Suarez, Sterling ....Who has he got rid of that you'd suggest as world class or knocking on the door? Lucas? Agger? Reina?
