I doubt we'd sell, Enrique doesn't seem to be fancied given his injury problems and we have no one else at LB unless Gomez is going to be played there but wouldn't want him thrown in so early in unfamiliar position

I'm in a kind of trepidation over Bentekes arrival, the mans a beast in the air and has the upper body strength to hold the ball up which is one thing we have cried out for, I hope he can adapt to our pass and move game

Milners delivery is very good. He took most free kicks for city from a wide position.
Luckily, we have someone who can run now instead
Besides, Milner is pretty decent at them

Good point about MilnerNow a Gerrards gone we might get the occasional decent corner now though

Really? Because all I remember in the last two seasons are the huge gaping holes in the midfield left by Gerrard. Regardless of how good his passing was, he negatively impacted our team performances with his lack of mobility - hence our dire win record with him in the team compared to him out the team and even average Joe playing instead.I'd rather have someone who can't run, and has quality, rather than someone who can run but lacks the ability to make things happen

Having someone that can't run in a team that is setup to press the ball is a bit on the silly side though.
We had huge gaping holes throughout our team with or without Gerrard in the line up. Which suggests that just maybe you are directing your criticism at the wrong person.
I don't think pressing was a great concern to us last season because we had a side with Balotelli, who isn't exactly Suarez when defending from the front, or Lambert up top, who's slow as ****.
And to be fair Juventus managed to be a team with high work rate and an effective pressing game WITH Pirlo in the middle. Difference is none of Henderson, Allen or Lucas are fit to lace Pogba/Vidal's boots.

Take it you got my email. Most are a good bunch on here. Know their football if a little deluded on the Liverpool board There's the far nicer United board as well you should try. A couple are a bit militant on there but dont mind them Ignore the price and Benteke's a decent signing. But if he's your main striker I'm not so sure. A matchwinner? Dont think so but I could be wrong. You needed a top signing. Ibrah or someone.
