He's a good target man who can link play - but he needs runners. We didn't have that last season - apart from the few times we played Mario alongside Sterling or Sturridge, which was when we actually troubled teams.

Either way - I don't mind selling him as long as we get a quality player who fits our style. No point selling him then buying Rondon or Benteke.
Carlos Bacca looks most likely.

No, the other £8m doesn't count because we haven't paid it ...
Most transfers are paid over the contract length, so you probably won't have paid the base fee in full either, so why not go the full hog and divide it by 4 <doh>

The add ons will be performance based, so as long as they don't have anything stupid like you lot winning the league in there.....then if he's any good (and you think he's the dogs chopper) you'll be paying them. Not a complicated concept <ok>

Therefore - the £21m is spread over the course of the contract, not including the add ons.

Thanks for proving me right.

I doubt Origi will go on loan. He's just had a loan and is also 20-21 years old now. That is a vital age for a striker of his style.

I hope not, I want to see to what he can do with us

He'll deffo be in our squad next season I reckon

And he should get some chances, Europa, domestic cup starts + coming off the bench in the league. Looking forward to seeing him, he certainly plays better for the National team than Lille so hopefully, with more creative better players around him he'll give us a good showing

Lol I do wonder where Tobes gets his figures from. Tried to prove me wrong re. Firmino's goals but was completely wrong then as well.

I quoted his league goals, you chose to add in goals scored in the German equivalent of the Auto Windscreens , which saw them beat sides 9-0 twice!

I gave you the stats over his past 70 odd games which included everything.

You then replied and claimed I was wrong.

I like your revisionism.

The add ons aren't performance based Tobes, they are because we couldn't sign him as things stood because buying players that are third party owned isn't allowed by the premier league/FA.
So before we could agree a deal(18m with his club)we had to buy his rights from his Brazilian owners.

you're right, it's not a complicated concept yet here you are trying to complicate it <laugh>

Ah so Lukaku can beat up **** in europa and be mega but Firmino is muck....

A classic blue v red conumdrum .

Only the '****' he was accused of beating up was Wolfsburg, Lille, Kiev and CL regulars Young Boys.

As opposed to some part time German sausage mincers

Funny that considering when we were discussing Lukaku not so long ago you insisted on counting all games and goals rather than just the league. Why s that
