Yep,that's about it I reckon. We must have a solid start to next season aswell, the first 5 to 10 games. If we start like we did last season
then surely FSG will get concerned. Massive summer for us :emoticon-0107-sweat

We will win first ten no question.
Next year will be our year

In Rodgers we trust

One of the gossip pages on sky app taken from Mail on Sunday...

united will ask for gonzalo higuain from juventus in a swap deal for RVP.

2 things, higuain is twice the player RVP is at the moment.... Oh and higuain plays for ****ing Napoli <doh>

does make you wonder...

Higuain is a spoofer Bis. He will be a massive flop in the prem. Anyone who signs him will be fcked. Hope we dont touch him with a barge pole.

Rodgers doesn't do good starts. He plays his shoddy possession football until the fans are frothing at the mouth and demand improvements...somewhere around Christmas he changes it.

He's scored more than 20 goals in 5 out of the last 7 seasons, his goal scoring record in domestic league football is better than 1 in 2 and his international scoring record is also 1 in 2.

Some spoofer........

But the mighty Benteke is with same 1 in 2.

Benteke = worldie

Higuin = ex-worldie. How much in past two years away from real?

All I'll say mate is sometimes stats dont tell the whole story. Actually watch him play over those seasons and you'll see he's benefited from a weak italian league. He's a Huntelaar mate. He'll never be good enough for any top 6 Prem team.

Age doesnt come into it. MITO is right he's past it. He was on the decline in his last season at Real.
Sorry but that's complete and utter bollocks

He scored 24 in his first season in Italy and 26 this season.

Past it my arse

So you ignored my post above the one you've just quoted? The goals he's scored paint a false picture. I've actually watched him play and the opposition he's scored against and the goals he's scored. Please watch him before you make an informed opinion. I didnt use the Klass Huntelaar analogy by mistake. Some players wont cut it in the prem. I could equally use Soldado. Stats dont paint the whole picture.

So you've watched him every week and assume that I've seen nothing of him, oh do **** off

Stats for a striker do tell the story, as they're paid to score ****ing goals and that's what Higuain has done at both Madrid, Napoli and Argentina. To try and make out they were scored against poor opposition is absolute drivel.

In short, you're talking bollocks, Higuain is a top drawer striker, hence the fact he fetched a massive fee 2 years ago and why Van Gaal is apparently interested now. You'd better give him a bell lad and tell him he's past it before it's too late <laugh>

Higuain is a decent striker but when ever I've seen him play, he doesn't offer much in terms of build up play.

He reminds me of Benzema who great striker and will score you goals, but needs others to create for him. Neither player are going to go and score 10 goals created all by themselves like top strikers do.

If you have players who are going to create chances, then absolutely he'll fit in and score you goals.

If you don't then he might struggle, like Soldado.

People made exactly the same argument about Suarez. Apparently because Afonso Alves also scored goals in the Dutch league, and flopped in the premiership, Suarez was bound to as well.

I've watched him play a lot too, what I've seen is a technically accomplished player who is sharp in the box and scores goals wherever he's played.

He's different to Soldado because he's physically more suited to the premier league than him. He also does more work outside the box than the likes of Huntelaar, Dzeko, Soldado etc. so its not a fair comparison. Soldado/Huntelaar thrive on a certain type of service, I don't think Spurs/Madrid gave them the service they required to score goals. Higuain is a player that's more adaptable, there's a reason he was picked over Tevez for Argentina and there's a reason Benzema kept getting benched for Higuain despite the president insisting he wanted Benzema to play. He's a very good team player and not only does he score goals he also gets the best out of others around him.
