I presumed he meant slow in terms of thinking / reaction time.

I don't agree, I think Can will become a quality CM, I only pointed it out to put the things Jimmy reported (that coincidentally much his own opinions <whistle> ) into perspective. This guy is on TalkSport a lot but not entirely sure how legit the info he provides is. Bit like with RHCs mate, he may be told something but until the dotted line is signed...

Lol in my defence, I took those comments from Twitter and didn't get a chance to read the whole interview.

Don't agree with him on Can though - that's a load of bollocks <ok>

Liverpool news: Brendan Rodgers begins rebuilding plan with £100,000 a week deal for Jordan Henderson
Liverpool manager will prioritise signing a striker in summer after agreeing five-year contract with Jordan Henderson

as long as its not another balotelli type fine.

wasn't we supposed to have prioritized a striker when we got him, so hardly fills me with any confidence we will get any better up front this time round.

News in the press that Juve are preparing a £50m bid for Sterling. Probabbly made up but if we got offered that, I'd take it and give it (together with our £xm budget) and give it to whoever is in charge next year......unless it's Rodgers. Sterling must be the most over-rated player in the league right now.

of course its made up, the italians are cheap ass batards and only want loan deals.

i would of course be made up if we got offered that, but not going to happen sadly.

Yeah, I know....but still begs the question of how much we'd be happy to get for him?

personally i can only see £30 mill tops, i think that's taking the piss myself but if he goes to an english club we may get it.

he has had his head turned, yes it happens at all clubs, but dif is they make damn sure they dont lose key players and invest properly in the team and bring in more quality to play along side them, not so sure our owners will do that.

£30 mill is a lot of money, but not sure what or if we will spend that wisely if thats what happens.

Some interesting comments from Tony Evans from the Times -

- All 3 Soton lads were Rodgers's choice, not the committee.

- Going forward, Rodgers will have less say in recruitment if he stays

- FSG still believe in the committee and that's the way forward

- Confirms that Rodgers was very close to the sack in Dec.

- BR is not deffo safe, and FSG maybe tempted by Klopp (I call that sitting on the fence!)

- Missing out on CL is a massive concern for FSG

- Concerns over Sturridge in that it's more mental than physical issues as to why Sturridge misses games.

----------------------

Spoke to my mate last night. Rodgers is under NO pressure. This directly from the main FSG man at Anfield - Mike Gordon?? He said if they didn't get rid in November, why would they do it now. However, he told him not to quote it as a vote of confidence, as that's always interpreted in a negative way.

Rodgers give. Go ahead to splash the cash with Depay and carvalho top targets.

At at least they are the 2 positions we really need, attackers and strong central midfielder.

Cant see us getting either though, be stiff competition and no CL won't help.

Another season of confusion then. If it later transpires that we could have gotten Klopp (wishful thinking, I know), I'd really start to question FSG's credentials! <laugh>

If he stays, you have to give credit to FSG for sticking with their man. Many wouldn't.

Not a chance they'll come to us. More of a PR stunt if there's any truth in it at all. <ok>

and if we end up 7th?

in any event i'd beleive it cos I reckon quite a few press like ahem Barret of the times have been saying rodgers is safe

i presume the above was about stelring to juve... the first second and third thing about said rumour was 50mil... juve... and <laugh>

honest to god the press are clueless. They prob read me saying 50mil here consistently and used it :bandit:

Juve no chance...

direct swap for a couple of thier players mind :bandit:

........................................

and Depay and Carvalho.. thats cost 60 mil stop being ridic.... oh wait rodgers spent that on lovern, lallana and balotelli.....

My mate did say if we continued losing for the rest of the season it would be a different story <laugh>

ah well then... thats like a totally secure job then <ok>

All it takes is a couple more losses for totten ham and southampton to pass us.... this is the thing i said in august and feared... I did not expect Southampton to be the other team mind i expected everton to be 1000 times better than they are.

all in all my strong view is 5th is minimum acceptable now and even that is a slight failure

Think the big question is, if BR does stay how much control over the transfers will he have?

Last summer has got to have destroyed any chance of him being allowed to choose players to target

Even ****ing MFG wouldn't expect us to lose every single game from now until the end <laugh>
