As with all of this conjecture, the reality is it's not football manager. If Rodgers got £50m for Sterling he wouldn't grab us Lacazette and Pjanic, etc, we would get Berahino and ****ing Milner.

Reluctantly agree......Speculating is far more exciting than reality!

Oh....and you forgot about Ings! <ok>

If we were to get any players from City, I'd take one of Mangala, Fernando, Fernandinho, or Jovetic.

Funny to see us linked with Walcott again - I hope to God that we don't pursue him. Has the tools to become good but far too raw and hasn't progressed. Not to mention he's injury prone, expensive and on big wages.

Walcott is an over-hyped one-dimensional sort of player. Actually I think he's just average. What he has/had going for him is/was pace but as he gets older that will dwindle. No thanks.

Dunno what's really going on with Sterling but he's coming across more like a cock by the month.

Become good? He's just turned 26 and his best weapon is pace!

Poorly phrased - meant he had the tools to become a good player but never realised it or coached properly.

Which is a shame because England did produce raw talented plyers like Lennon, SWP etc but poor coaching is what lets that down.

This is why Rafa's legacy/greatest achievement will always be the academy because our youngsters play with more intelligence and tactical awareness.

And so far it's arguably only produced Flanno and Ibe
