Last year Skrtel was pants... he scored a few goals which masked it...
Think Sissoko is a bit like Can, a strong powerful runner with technical ability. I'd be very happy for him.
Maybe Sissoko & Song/Cabaye instead of Pjanic would be more realistic and affordable
I couldn't give a **** that he scored, Skrtel played well last year and was in my top five performers. And I'm far from a Skrtel fan as you know. Yes our defence was a shambles and he was made to look silly at times but he was also completely exposed with no protection from midfielder and neither FB in the same half of the pitch half the time. IMO, he did very well to keep it at just the fifty conceded
Sissoko, Song and Cabaye is just greedy
I like Cabaye but I'd say no to that now, we've got Coutinho, Lallana and Sterling that can all play the AM role and Cabaye isn't a great B2B or DM.
As of May 2013, net debt has crept up again and was listed at ~£114M, with ~£69M of that being owed to UKSV.
Financial Year 13/14 will be released in a couple of months so we'll see where it's at for May 2014, but it's hard to see this number doing anything but increase and now we've added the stadium expansion as well taking us probably back up near H&G levels.
Ok, perhaps not definitely 100% chance of no money...but I'd be highly surprised if our net is anything above 15/20m.

It was Sissoko and one of Song/Cabaye, not all 3. Cabaye can be that deep lying playmaker but out of the 3 I'd prefer Sissoko for the B2B and Song for competition for Lucas.
No one will convince me Skrtel was good last year... he was average. He still has bad habbits that I hate like backing off, never going and makes a challenge instead prefers to back of to the 18 yard box by which time the player has enough room for a shot from 20 yards out. Add the fact he can't mark properly..
I'd replace him but I couldn't name you someone i'd replace him with that is a realistic option (don't watch enough European footy to be totally informed).

Not going to argue about the 2013-14 Skrtel as its been done to death and I'm serious not interested in having that conversation
There are players in the PL that could replace him but i think we're best off not going there either
I'd take Song and Sissoko as that would give us some excellent option but I think we'd need to see one or two current options leave. Gerrards obviously one, Allen would be the other obvious one to most people but to Brod? I suspect Brod would sell Lucas, something I'm not keen on but at least S&S arriving would cover the DM/HM role.

Some of you may remember me banging on about Ryan Bertrand and that we should sign him, that ship seems to have sailed but I was bang on and he's having a cracking season at Southampton.
So my next tip is Tom Carroll, currently on loan at Swansea from Spurs. A 22 year old central midfielder that I noticed a while back, since then I've kept a close eye on him and imo he's going to be a top player. Good time for us to get him at the moment as he would be fairly cheap.

It's too early for me to tell if this is sarcasm? He's had a [HASHTAG]#meltdown[/HASHTAG] under pressure and is now banned from crucial games.

I wouldn't say he's set the world alight at the Saints. He's not been poor but nor as he really out performed Moreno either IMO.

He's been brilliant imo.
I like Moreno though and don't regret us buying him. Comparing the 2 Bertrand is a better defender, Moreno better going forward.
Regardless though Tom Carroll was the point of my post.

Bertrand is alright but I don't see him improving too much more whereas I think Moreno can. FBs don't need to defend nowadays
