Why, the window hasn't closed yet.

Closes tomorrow...

THink should be kept open until the window officially closes.. what if we suddenly sign someone <yikes>

It's a bit Football Manager but wouldn't mind us going into the new season with something like the below.

GK - Mig & Jones

RB - Wisdom, Flanno, Manquillo
LB - Moreno & Enrique
RCB - Skrtel & Ilori
LCB - Sakho & Lovren

CDM - Lucas, Can, Rossiter
CM - Henderson, Allen, Pjanic (£25m signing, £90k a week), Moussa Sissoko (£10m signing £60k a week)
AM - Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana

Wide Forwards - Markovic, Ibe, Sinclair

CF - Sturridge, Origi, Ings (cheap signing), Lacazette (£25m signing £60k a week)

Would be an outlay of around £60m. Working on a £30m transfer budget.
Wage budget would be freed up with Gerrard's £120k a week, Johnson's £100k a weeks & Toure £60k(ish) wages gone

Also sell Lambert/Borini/Balotelli for a combined £20m while also wiping £200k a week off wages.

4 signings in positions we are weak in, all of which can make an immediate impact while also being young and mobile. IF being greedy, maybe another CB but at the moment, don't want to mess around with that too much <ok>

Not much change with only 4 new players as well as keeping all the main 1st team players this year so it's not a whole new team. Team would look something like the below.

Mig
Flanno Skrtel Sakho Moreno
Can
Pjanic Sissoko
Sterling
Sturridge Lacazette

With players like Origi/Ings/Coutinho/Lallana/Henderson/Lucas ready to come in and replace if needed.

Defence doesn't see much change but mainly because I think we should be looking to keep that solid and not **** around with it each season.

You're right, it is Football Manageresque <laugh>

But not totally unrealistic. It's 4 signings, 3 of which (Sissoko, Lacazette & Ings) who have been heavily linked as well as my fantasy signing in Pjanic <whistle>.

Sales aren't unrealistic, can see the 3 forwards being sold and £20m is a reasonable amount (£10m for Balo, £7m for Borini and £3m for Lambert). Throw in Coates and a few fringe players and can easily make up the £20m needed to top up the transfer kitty.

Overall, think it gives us a good young team with a solid spine and quality depth on the bench.

I'd be very happy to see us go for Lacazette and Pjanic but not bothered by the other two and I'd like to see RCB arrive to take Skrtel's place. I know you said we need consistency at the back and I agree but we need it would players that are going to be here for the long haul. Brod's already tried to shift Skrtel on once (dropping him for a very declined Jamie Carragher) and if it wasn't for the lack of options, I think he'd have been dropped long ago too.

We should be building a side around Coutinho AND Sterling too, they are our future!

I can't see us having any money to spend in the summer...
We're taking on massive debt again and have now added stadium debt to our list of problems too. We've got to sell to buy - starting with Balotelli, Borini and probably (unfortunately) Skrtel and Lucas if we want to be able to do anything. If we keep the latter two (and I would) then we can maybe go and buy one top striker at best after selling the other two.

We'll need to really use the youth to bulk the squad up next season. Luckily our youth are very talented.

I'm not a fan of Skrtel but he's due a good season (1 in 3) so we can sell him the following summer off the back of a good season :bandit:

Sissoko I think is a good player. Big and strong but can play as well and ads a bit of steel there.

Could throw in A.Song instead, forgot about him if needed. Obviously not wanted at Barca and would provide competition for Lucas at DM but I'd prefer Sissoko who is a bit more mobile and offers more of a threat going forward.

only issue i have is if you think those players are coming for those wages you are playing fm2011 not 2015.

Yep, I thought the same but couldn't be arsed to go into it. Now you've brought it up though...

Pjanic (£25m signing, £90k a week): I'd expect it to be more like £120k+ per week

Moussa Sissoko (£10m signing £60k a week) Probably £85k+ pw

Lacazette (£25m signing £60k a week) £120k+ pw

The stadium doesn't count towards FFP so depends on the owners <ok>

Maybe was being a little conversative but Lacazette is young and can't be on anymore than £40k a week at the moment so doubt he'd treble his wages. Maybe £80k is more reasonable.

Pjanic is playing in Italy.. they are tight bastards so again can't be on more than 80k a week atm so 100k is maybe more reasonable.

Sissoko is probably on about 40-50k a week at Newcastle so £60-£70k is a nice increase for him.

Last year was his good season so this and next will be the **** ones :bandit:

I think Sissoko is a good player too but would like to see a defender. Benefit of Sissoko though is he can play a bit deeper if required too. Its criminal that we didn't go in for him when he joined Newcastle. I'd definitely take Song.

It doesn't matter what they are currently on, what matters is what they can get elsewhere.

So like I said, no money to spend <ok>

Owners are forking out 50mill a year already to cover losses. I'm amazed we've been getting anything (this summer aside with the Suarez money) to buy anyone. Unfortunately, our debt has risen further now and we're back to cutting costs soon. Stadium doesn't count towards FFP, of course, but it does count to the owners and they've got that to worry about + the 50+ mill losses annually too!

Basically, fat chance of spending money this summer unless we sell first.

Last year Skrtel was pants... he scored a few goals which masked it...

Think Sissoko is a bit like Can, a strong powerful runner with technical ability. I'd be very happy for him.

Maybe Sissoko & Song/Cabaye instead of Pjanic would be more realistic and affordable <ok>

True but if they've been doing it before what's to say they won't continue...? All I'm saying is its not a definite no.

seriously guys winston reid wants 80k... if you think a player is moving for less than 100k you need to embrace the mad world of football.

Think more along the lines of Rossiter and Ojo and you're getting closer to our targets <ok>
