He probably needs two different squads who have the same attributes

Sturridge /Origi
Coutinho/Lallana
Sterling/Gerrard
Markovic/Ibe

We need to go for the Europa as well as the FA cup need bodies as when the games stack up so will the injuries
 
yeah the lucas to napoli only came up for higuin which was patently false and so...... the inter loan prob wont happen seeing he is not getting his game
 
Glad to see Ibe come back. He has to be playing games to make sure it's not wasted but I'd much rather have him coming off the bench than Borini or Lambert at the moment.

What scares teams is pace. We saw that last year. Sterling and Sturridge tores team apart with their pace created mainly by Suarez's brilliance who although wasn't quick, was always 1 step ahead so had the first yard in his head.

I'd much rather see a front 3 of Sterling Sturridge Markovic with Ibe & Origi on the bench ready to come on than one with Lambert or Borini

Oh I know, we'd have 5 entering if we finished outside top 4

Think the Europa is so hard to win though. Easier when you enter at the stage we have though <ok>

Not saying think we'll win it or anything, need to improve a lot before thinking of that
 
Disappointed for Ibe to come back. It smacks of short termism and also the owners do not want Rodgers to spend money this month - which for me means they are looking beyond Rodgers...

Ibe should stay at derby which is a great place for his development and regular minutes.

Will I be happier to see him rather than Lambert or Borini? Yes - but I wouldn't compeomise his development to salvage the teams poor season just for 6 months.

Look at it the other way though, how did Sterling get his chance? He got in when we were **** and had no other option, he took it and cemented his place in the first team. Who's to say Ibe wont use this chance to stake a claim for a first team place?

We all moan when we send these youngsters out on loan then never play them again when back at the club, but when we do people moan.

Could easily go either way but playing first team football with us will be more beneficial to him than at Derby, even if it in the EL, playing against other good European teams will no doubt aid his development.

True but I'm just concerned he won't get enough minutes. We have Sterling, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana all playing in those positions. It's not as if he's filling a position where we have zero options.
 
Everyone needs to remember we're still in 4 competitions. That's a lot of game time and a lot of rotation required.

Not really. The games prior to this stage are piss easy, the top sides play their reserves and still progress. Hell even the likes of Spurs and Everton play their reserves and get through :bandit:
