From BBC:

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has denied media reports linking Liverpool's misfiring striker Mario Balotelli with a move to the Turin giants in the winter transfer window.

Balotelli has scored just two goals since joining Liverpool from AC Milan in a £16m transfer in August and has yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League this season.

Allegri, who coached Balotelli at Milan before taking the helm at Juve, said: "I think this is a made-up story. Balotelli has done very well with me but he belongs to Liverpool and he is not a player that can arrive at Juventus."

Arbeloa apparently linked with us due to his lack of game time at real. Remember when we signed him in the first place? Bargain basement signing yet he had Messi in his pocket in one of his first few games.

Barkley wouldn't happen. Even if we offered £60m, I think they'd rather sell for £50m to City due to the outrage that will come from it. Kenwright would have to flee the country for fear of his life..
 
Arbeloa was very underrated when we was with us and I think we got a bit ripped off when we sold him. Never brilliant going forward, but solid defensively. As a cheap option for a couple of years while Manquillo/Wisdom/Flanagan compete wouldn't be awful

I'd stick with Manquillo and Flanagan. They seem to both get better with game time so let them fight it out tbh.

ATM he's just a less developed Shelvey anyway

For under £15m it would be worth the gamble that Rodgers could develop his potential, but he's pretty ****ed right now - either stay and get no experience playing for a top team, or go to City and not play at all

Maybe Arsenal would be best for Barkley then they could dump Wilshere

To be fair they did say that we'd sign no one.

Does seem like a lack of ambition and lack of money or scared of FFP. Perhaps if we'd looked for players outside of England we could have got similar or better quality for cheaper. Maybe January's might be alittle more interesting for us if we extended our scope beyond the Prem.

But really the January transfer window has become abit of a media **** fest and nothing more, lots of rumours and very little happening.

Ummm..... we have Skrtel so he would fit in nicely! Seriously though, he could play in a 3 or 2 CB system, won the lot pretty much apart from a CL and certainly a commander, a real one not the Lovren one we bought.

Yeah, I'd take those four in exchange for Balotelli. Hell, I'll throw in Borini, Lovren and Jones too <ok>
