| Marc Guéhi’s Manchester City contract, broken down:

→ £15.6m per year
→ £1.3m per month
→ £300,000 per week
→ £42,900 per day
→ £1,800 per hour

[@alex_crook]

Do you think Marc Guehi is worth 300k per week? And do you think Liverpool could afford such high wage for a player who isn't better than Konate?

Is that confirmed? 300k is too much, 1 agree. No doubt, he got his signing on bonus too then. Unreal. I take my comment back.

He is far more consistent and this better than Konate though.

Rumours are that both Slot and Hughes are gone in the summer and Alonso is being lined up.

Only rumours but if true, I wouldn’t expect any signings this window.

With hindsight now; What an absolute waste of a year. We had a huge transfer pot and spent it like we’d just won the lottery. Didn’t stop everyone getting excited at the signings mind.

Im still over joyed at the signings we've made. Its who we let go at the same time that annoys me.

They wouldn’t accept Diaz’s value - I think that they know it now <doh>

We could have bought Guehi and Semenyo and still had change from the Isak deal. All hindsight and completely irrelevant today but looking back, I don’t think that our signings were balanced and always what the team needed.

Im unsure signing more & more players is the answer.

We had a good young centre back, we ****ed him off.

Before this furore, I've never seen anybody desperate to sign guehi. Suddenly he's a must have. I'd have rather have kept quansah.

Would semenyo have come in the summer? After last season I cant recall many desperate for a salah replacement.

Diaz wanted to go, so I can see why they let him, but surely hed have stayed for one more season.

If we'd kept quansah, elliot and diaz. Actually used chiesa, endo and Ramsey wed look a very strong squad rather the how bare bones we look already.

Dont we have a buy back option on Quansah? The club replaced him with Leoni and on his short showing, that didn’t look like a bad decision. Having lost Diaz and Elliott and knowing that Salah was aging, plus having already bought a 9…..Isak was a luxury that we could have spent elsewhere on two or three players that actually replaced what we lost. Always easier to have an opinion with hindsight though. <ok>

Really tough one take, the only thing I can think of is that we simply said **** Palace after what happened on deadline day and were never going back in for him unless he was a free agent in the summer.

Bitterly disappointed whatever happened, have always rated him.

Edit: just seen the wages part, we were never competing with that

Concerning that 1 or 2 key injuries and potentially no cover...things could go awry fairly quickly.

No cb cover for a start. Need to blood some youngsters and protect them at same time.

Theres other CBs out there though guehi was homegrown also which would have freed up a place for buying abroad.

Everything is easier in hindsight

But even at the time flogging quansah seemed a poor descion.

Going into the season with only 2 senior centre backs. Leoni as a complete unknown and I suppose gomez looked short sighted.

We've spent alot of money to replace lost players rather than supplement an already thin squad.

Man City will have spent £500m in the last relieve months once they complete the Guehi signing. Can't recall too many sales in that time, certainly nothing big

Sources claim that Borussia Dortmund defender, Nico Schlotterbeck, is on Liverpool's shortlist this month. The German's is said to be refusing to sign a new contract at Signal Iduna Park as he pursuits a move elsewhere.
