I keep seeing this and I don't like it. We clearly tried to sign him in the summer so we wanted him. Why didn't we go back in for him in this window? Something obviously changed. And that thing isn't the team performance/potential manager sacking; we don't make decisions like that, signings are a long thought out processes and even changing the manager won't alter the strategic approach, we'd have still signed him regardless. The only thing that could have changed is Guehi's mind. Was it more money? Was it how we're playing? Did he just prefer Man City? Maybe he was swayed by working with Pep? Whatever it was, it wasn't Liverpool no longer being interested, we just weren't his preferred option anymore.
