Henry had massive pace and was a winger.

Yes wenger moved him in to the centre and he worked with the great Bergkamp

Bit he was so much faster than Elliott. It's an insult to Henry to compare him to the wee lad.

Elliott is a lallana. That'd be a good marker for him to aim at.

As will United, especially when they get Mbueno, and Villa have just declined the option of £40m Rashford - understandably. Unless United are confident they're going to sell the likes of Anthony, Garnacho, and Rashford to the Saudis for a shedload, there'll be some firesale in the last weeks of August, for sure.
 
Btw, when we sell a player, unless they put in a transfer request, they get a loyalty bonus, don't they, IIRC? 10%? If Darwin turns down a £60m to the Saudis (don't blame him at all, btw) , then if he goes to Napoli for £40m, does he forego that bonus? Don't get me wrong, I think Darwin should be sold as he just isn't at our standard, but the guy has sweated bullets for us - you can never doubt his effort (though he did check out towards the end of some games like Villa away when his head dropped).

He leaves on the best of terms as a cult hero and all that, and I don't begrudge him getting his best deal - it's not like the old days of Stan Collymore not being remotely arsed he was turning his potential as one of England's greatest strikers of the 90s into a trainwreck of a career. I'm asking also because I think a few clubs will be having firesales this summer (United and Chelsea spring to mind), and when push comes to shove you can't force someone onto another club that don't want to go to just because it's more lucrative for the club, as we're about to find out with Konate, perhaps. :emoticon-0138-think

I expect things will get back going, transferwise from today onwards. End of the football financial year and PSR/FFP reset. Plus the window has opened again
 
I kind of expect the bargain bucket types to sniff about players like morton and doak and they will tyre kick until august.

I hope if there's genuine interest for some players like konate (psg) and Elliott then they get done quickly so the overall squad shape can take form.

You know that any unplanned sales will take the entire summer to get sorted. Rightly so, we shouldn’t let key people leave if we don’t have adequate replacements lined up.
 
Bayern are linked with every players that’s played LW for the last 3 seasons anywhere in europe. Was Williams, then Rashford, then Mitoma, now Diaz.
