I agree with this. Bradley isn't properly fit atm and hasn't had the chance for much game time so he hasn't made the position his going forward because obviously it was Trent's. It will be interesting seeing both players fighting to be first choice. The LB situation is different mostly because of Robbo's age. His fitness and pace etc. will determine how the games are split between him and Kerkez, if he is the one who's coming. If not him, same applies to whoever we do get in.I think Frimpong becomes first choice ahead of Bradley with Bradley getting sub minutes and odd rotation/cup and maybe CL games. I think Robertson stays first choice at start of season but I almost expect Robertson and Kerkez to rotate weekly with Kerkez becoming first choice as season progresses.
But I think it can even depend game by game what slot wants tactically as Kerkez is maybe picked for games expecting to dominate where want more attacking and Robertson for the tougher games where want him to sit back and defend a bit more.
Link to a video of all this seasons goalsI can't see it mate. What is it?
You don't think they use pre-season to work on tactical tweaks or integrating new players?I don't think so. Pre-season is for fitness, first and foremost. Slot will get to see how the players play in his team and how fit they are etc but if won't be a deciding factor as to who starts the first league game imo.
Seen a few rumours about us going for Barcola. That would definitely get me excited tbh
Players are usually all over the world for different tournaments and start coming back in stages. Lots of youngsters get playing time. Pre-season is used for testing tactics but I don't see it as meaningful in any way other than for fitness and the manager having a look at his new players and deciding on what to do with the fringe players and youngsters in the coming season. You don't think they use pre-season to work on tactical tweaks or integrating new players?
Really?

Really?
Definitely not. The full squad is rarely available. It's all about fitness
No mate.
It's about working over time with as many as you've got.
Klopp used to do 3 sessions a day and patterns of play and structure were always a major part.
Yes you run them till they puke but you don't just run laps.
Every session is intense working through systems so the press and recovery is sharpened up.
This season will be one of the rare ones where lfc get many players back for 4 or 5 weeks to really work on those systems.
I was talking about the games rather than training sessions
Nunez set to be sold this summer, provided a sufficient bid is made. Management have decided to cash in, according to reports

Which just confirms what everyone knew already
Alisson Becker has been linked with a move to Galatasaray.
Robertson being linked with Atletico. Was always going to be one of him or Kostas going just always assumed would be the Greek scouser going with Robertson offering more leadership and experience for a young Kerkez to rotate.
But 1 year left maybe deciding to cash in and Robertson doesn’t want to play 2nd fiddle and go abroad while still has couple years left. If that’s the case he’s earned the right, but would much rather keep him for another season.
