I've got to say you were right on this one and I was wrong. I didn't ever say that Trent wouldn't leave but I felt he wouldn't. I also never bought into the ego argument. How wrong I was. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I see it clearly now.

I have no idea how someone would pay that much for anyone to play a nothing tournament that they don't need him in and thry are assured of a massive pay off just to attend.

But if it's 10.85 million I'm laughing at them.

So we are getting frimpong for 7mil a year over 5 years and getting real to pay year 1.

Hilarious.

I hope he ends up on the real trash pile and we have a glory era for him to regret for ever.

5 years now. Can we win more that trent does (even as a possible bench warmer)

The way barca might go with the new ultra star and academy products again he might have to live on scraps.

Hopefully our new potential line up can win a couple of pots along the way.

I didn't like him being booed and I thought he should have been on the bus ( when some, not you were saying he shouldn't) but my goodness from the end of the last game, constantly picking up the trophy and throwing himself in the front of all the photos to being on the bus, he tried his best to make it all about him. He's engineered photos, like the Shanklyesque pose on the bus, to give himself a scrapbook, like you say.

Anyway let's get these new players signed up and raring to go. We move on.

40m USD for the winner, 30m for second place. It's worth going for. Whether Trent will make a big difference is a different question.

Tbf it’s a nothing tournament to European fans but it’s huge money to clubs so can see why. If Madrid win it then spending £10m on TAA to get £100m back in prizes is well worth it. They have no right back as carvahal is injured and allows them to play valverde in midfield now.

Nice move for him that. Hopefully we don’t feel a huge impact but I guess it’s a positive as says to others if you do well at lfc as assistant manager you might get opportunities further along the line

Sounds like fee is all but done for Wirtz. Reports of deal up to €130m inclusive of add ons.

I don't think we will.

Slot rates the guy, he was no 3 in the set up in the end so Dirk can take that on.

Same work ethics. Same approach to football.

I'm not like a bitter blue who would never allow a former anything at our club. He was good and I wish him well.

I'm just looking forward to the digglers return
