Don’t know about Gordon. Didn’t rate him at Everton, but then did up his game at Newcastle but then form dropped massively (prob not helped by injury). Still dives a lot and his output just isn’t an improvement on gakpo or Diaz and likely cost a lot.
Newcastle fans talking about looking to improve on their wingers so don’t even think they’re sold his the real deal.

Can’t complain about that really. Losing him on a free so getting anything is a bonus and €10m is a lot more than expected.
Reading on it looks like it's his wages for the time left on his contract.
Now that's been announced, Frimpong to be unveiled fairly soon today.

Worded really weirdly. It’s 10m as a 1 off payment is what they are referring to. But worded in a very strange way
Rumours obviously - Wirtz has said his goodbyes, deal agreed £100m plus £12m add ons, all the private jet watchers are on alert.

Emerging that following encouragement from the player's side, Real approached Liverpool in January over a transfer for Trent. Liverpool wouldn't engage.

That’s well known - we rejected £20m deal in Jan.
In hindsight, great one. Got £10m back so cost us £10m to keep him for 6 months and win the league.
The point was - what wasn't well known was the "encouragement from the player's side".
A Month ago we were getting bugger all, so £10m is frankly astonishing
Real must be mad to pay instead of waiting 16 days for a tournament that nobody cares about.
We were all sure that that was the case though - although some were probably hoping it wasn't.
I and many others said months ago that we expected Mo and Virgil to sign, but not Trent. His intentions were clear.
It's fairly obvious that "encouragement" amounted to "come and get me".
