The time to deal with konate was 12 months ago. Again what was Mr Hughes doing then?

2 years left is the time to figure out where a player stands. If they want to stretch it then you should already be making it well clear they won't be allowed to do it.

Where we are now is diaz and konate need to be dealt with before August 1 or then moved.

We should be looking to impress the squad and maintain the key players not letting them **** off and gain all the power.

We are where we are but trent should be the last time under fsg this happens. Thry should keep the power.

I don’t normally like to argue on here here but whilst I understand your frustration- that is just not something I feel you could do in this day and age.

if you do that your chance of signing new players would greatly reduce as players watching from the outside would simply be put off by the clubs actions,

imho it would be short term gain long term pain

I feel like everyone will be talking right backs shortly.

1. Striker
2. Winger.
3. Left back.
4. Right back.
5. Centre midfield
6. Centre half.

Obviously each of us might have our own opinions on the who or order of priority.

I'm not sure which way I'm leaning exactly

winger seems the least important i'd probably go
1. Both FB positions
2. CM
3. CB
4. Striker
5.Winger

not much between 2nd and 3rd imo and the last 2 depends on who leaves
 
Left back
Striker - someone that can play central
RB/CB (ideally someone like Gomez that can do a good job at either) will allow us to rotate between Bradley and them for game scenarios.
CM comp for Gravenberch

those are 3/4 areas that must be on the shopping list tbh.

Yeah slot will dictate a lot (or should) in terms of who stays and goes

Contract situations with Diaz and konate will also dictate how people future proof.

We might get an out of left field situation where a Joe gomez wants to leave. Or no. Who knows.
 
My guesses from the season since january:

Kelleher wants to go 12 months left please sell for reasonable fee.
Nunez must go. Saudi want him. Get 50mil back
Chiesa should go. Waste of time and effort.
Morton should go. Why waste your career?
Tsimikas could go. I can't see who would want him but he can take set pieces. Who could begrudge him a singing on fee and wage.

After that then you enter the realms of speculations
Elliott might be wanted on the cheap by someone (he'd be gone if I had my way he need to play play play to develop any more)
Konate contract situation
Gomez might want to go. Who knows.
Diaz contract situation.


Then there's the real dead wood
Phillips (finally)
Williams
Ramsay


All in all I feel like there's work to be done here and most of it to improve the first 11.

Mostly agree with this. Tsimikas might be picked up by one of the promoted clubs, Kelleher should attract a decent fee. It will be an interesting Summer
