Interesting post by Salah. Bit in bold obviously highlighting contract. Is it a dig at the club to get moving on contract? Is it him slowly making hints that this will be his last season ?

Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less. All teams win matches but there’s only 1 champion in the end. Thats what we want. Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like.

he’s off imo

They are all off lads. If they were not there would have been movement.

It's an easy enough equation for the oaps money x years. If thry got tjrirnwedge and the yesrs they wanted then they'd take it but if they have massive retirement money on offer then off they go

Trent is obvious and frankly if he keeps the silly stuff up I haven't the energy to care if he goes. I'll start relegating him to "arnold" when referring to him and then the latest traitor next summer for the laugh.

The team has players but nothing to replace salah but people said the same about Gerrard or suarez or any number of former player.

If they go we move on no point crying about it, Salah and VVD will be legends. Trent though is screwing the club he "loves" out of millions just like Mcmanaman did years ago.

I suppose that on thinking about it Trent came through at a young age and has contributed just as much. It's hard letting a younger player with such high value go on a free but that's the modern game I suppose and as a fan we should probably focus on what they have given us which are moments of such joy other than focusing on what money we could have received from their sales.

Neither cost us anything and gave us years of service. Good luck to them

A year ago I would have laughed at the suggestion of Trent leaving, but I think he's had his head turned and this idea has probably come to him quite suddenly as well.
I think he's got stars in his eyes and an inflated sense of his own abilities and club loyalties have succumbed to personal ambition.
All my opinion of course, just how it seems to me.
The biggest issue I have with McManaman is his excruciating co-commentaries. Painful.

Yeah his commentary is terrible. Recently he kept mentioning a co-commentator who was on the touchline who was called Emma, pretty blonde woman and it was getting a bit creepy.

Especially when he goes out of his way to pronounce the ING at the end of a word instead of IN like most of us do, sounds so false.Me and the missus actually called him Ings now.

Very few players leave on a free for lots of reasons but keeping it simple, because the club needs the transfer fees to go and buy other players. The club not wanting to extend a contract is one thing but when it's the player not wanting to extend, it doesn't sit quite right with me because they are knowingly and willingly leaving the club with a big problem in having to find the finances elsewhere to go out and buy a replacement. Most players manage their departure to leave the fans happy and get the club a transfer fee which in part could be seen as a sort of compensation for them leaving.

We never know what's going on behind the scenes but these 3 contract situations are slightly worrying.

Yeah, it's like he's trying to get away from his native accent and the best he can do is accentuate the bits that usually get dropped.
The thing that gets me though is how he, and so many other good footballers now doing that job, seem not to understand the game that they played so well. They really spout a load of bollocks most of the time.

All three will go for a big pay day. Trent as he will get a mega salary and signing on fee and the other two as it will be the last move they make

I'm really not worried about Trent going he'll become another Courtinho as I've said before and he certainly isn't god's gift to defending .

I don't think he will do a couts. He managed 2 serious clubs and was given medals off the bench.

I think more of a michsel Owen effort. End up at Newcastle.

Virgil, apparently, has almost reached agreement on new terms. Obviously it's all media talk but it's being put forward as 2 years with an added 1 year option. We'll see.
