Also don’t forget that slot style is far less gung ho 100mph so in theory, there is less risk to burn out and injuries compared to klopps teams. That may mean certain players don’t drop off and we don’t have as larger injury problem.

Of course that’s all hypothetical and we may get 2/3 injuries out the blue
I get what you're saying but it doesn't matter what Slot's style is if Partey decides to sit on Diaz's knee and put.him out for months, or Robbo gets his shoulder dislocated etc etc

I believe in being positive. Sometimes you have to be realistic along with that positivity. Don't underestimate the mental burnout due to workload either. We've got a massive amount of games including extra in the CL.

Have no idea where you got this from since everything i have seen suggests we agreed to pay the release fee but player decided against the move something you agreed with not that long ago as you decided Zubimendi had used us tyo get a better contract

We took a long time to agree to meet said fee and tried to negotiate splitting it out over 2 years.

It is really quite possible and probable that zubimendo did in fsct tell hughes he was up.for it then turned roundnand said lfc are offering 150k sociadad. What are you offering.

There's absolutely nothing there contradictory St all.

Spurs so signed solanke who has had 1 good season in his career and a relegated winger from Burnley.

Chelsea hit some decent form end of season under a diff manager and now have a complete diff team to that in form team with a manager who has a years experience in the championship with a team that would walk a league with me in charge. Why are they any better now than we are?

Yes but spurs also have the same back 4 with full backs doing their thing and the same midfield and the same sort of forwards with solanke added.

If all the injuries are back then they can add to thst 66 points. Don't discount them.

Chelsea still have Palmer. If he's fit all season then there's an 11 in there thst can be more consistent. It can't be much worse.

Newcastle and utd were 10 points off 70. They can improve.by 3 game going form losses to wins as well.

Anyone can improve. The question is who will.

We have to work the squad and you'd wonder how much slot really realises about the intensity so far. The pattern will emerge as the season goes on.

We will be relying on endo and Jones and tsimiaks at times this season and the drop off when thry come in is going to be that wins or loses us our chances.

Like I say, could do that. Or could get no injuries, arsenal barely had any last year. Leicester when won the title did so with pretty much same 11 every week as avoided injuries. It’s not unheard of and the style does help with muscle injuries rather than impact which are obviously things you can’t control.

Mbuemo 2 more goals for Brentford today. Not the star big name but 25 and prem
proven in that right wing position, natural replacement for Salah next year?

Leicester didn't have much of a cup run that year did they? No Europe so 1 game a week.

If you dont have the intensity then it's poss8ble.

If we'd bought a DM, Gordon, and a CM/LB, and then bought Chiesa (or even without Gordon), I'd have been saying it was a great window and the signing of Chiesa on that fee and wages was a masterstroke. As it is, we're expecting Gravenberch to develop into some sort of hybrid DM/AM on the basis of a couple of decentish performances, and really have no injuries whilst competing on four fronts. And I still say that the only reason Gravenberch has looked okay so far is that Szobbo has started the season in full, high-energy mode (apart from the first half against Ipswich), and that gives everyone, most of all Macca, so much more room and time to do their stuff - remember thought that he fell off a ****ing cliff energy-wise from around late October bar a handful of performances in between an injury-hit 2nd half of the season. We're putting a lot of eggs in that basket, IMO.

Let's be totally honest, this team will NOT make it through until next March/April while still being in the hunt for the league - and FSG know that. Maybe it would have been too much to ask Slot to do that in his first season anyway, but I get the feeling FSG are happy to consolidate top four and a CL place as a sort of Mike Ashley at Newcastle with go-faster stripes model for the club. And I'll say this now - the way Chelsea, United, Spurs and Villa have developed and bought we are being complacent and/or arrogant to think that any other than City and Arsenal are guaranteed top four. This could be going back to two seasons ago without a doubt.
Cheer up, Donga - you're getting me down mate.

I said last Sunday, even before we got the 2nd goal, I'm happy with the football we've played in the last 2 games (or at least since the 2nd half at Ipswich). I KNOW IT'S ONLY BEEN IPSWICH AND BRENTFORD - but I'm more than happy if Slot gets top 4 (or even 5) in his first season, and hopefully does okay in the CL and one of the domestic cups. But FSG/Hughes/Edwards have been abysmal in this window bar a little Shaquiri-like deal at the death. Even that could turn out to be a bit like Jermaine Pennant, but we'll see.

Still think they'll push for Top Four. Might be a bit too early to say this, but perhaps all those clubs I mentioned will be pushing for fourth place rather than 3rd and 4th. But yeah, humble pie for my tea tonight. :emoticon-0100-smile

There's massive scope for improvement for some sides.

But they can all go on a run

Remember these sides were absolutely terrible last season and were ranging from 66 to 60 points.

I know with the awful relegation candidates last season that points total was probably inflated slightly but it's still only a small bit of improvement in consistency to really go for a push for 4th for any of them

Brighton have had a nice start.

Lfc
Villa
Spurs
Chelsea
Utd
Newcastle
West ham

Was last seasons order

It's a big ask for all of those clubs to e getting close to 70. Something has to give somewhere.

We've had a fairly easy start to get accustomed to Slots plans. Fortunately United didn't try to give us a challenge... We could have inertia well and truly on our side before our first major trial (not that anyone is easy).
