I agree. You have to admit though that looking to strengthen for the future is a good move and something that we've failed to do for a while.
Being linked with Goncalo Inacio and Piero Hincapie as CB's. Last throw of the dice before the window shuts and we then start picking up injuries in defence, no doubt having sold Gomez.

Lukeba name dropped on X by a 'fake' account which also name dropped Szoboszlai before anyone else. Make of that what you will.
Also being linked with Chelsea, as their squad is so thread bare.
Think we might have stopped looking for a 6 this summer. Zumbimendi was the prime target and since he's not coming it doesn't seem we have anybody else in mind or lined up at the moment.
Think this is a position we'll come back to next summer.

Doesn’t seem like a very lfc signing given injury record over last few years. Only 26 so a very low fee could be a great signing though. Been links of him going for couple years though so does strike more of agents trying to drum up interest before the window.

Three years ago I'd have bitten your hand off. He has undoubted quality, but he's never off the treatment table. This is deadline-day desperation. He's another Aquilani. I suppose the fee might be low (seems Juve want him off their books), but his wages? We've only just got Thiago off the wage bill, FFS.
