Yeah, some are disappointed we didn't take advantage but we may be looking elsewhere anyway.......he's only 18.

Slot has apparently said he wants another CB.

We've already got VVD, Konate, Quansah and Gomez but I guess it depends how Slot intends to use Joe. I'd like to see us sign a couple of FBs (one for each side)

Rumour was that he wanted guaranteed game time (as opposed to a promise), and no major club is going to go for that one.

No.

But.

I am fighting the dreaded felling that everyone else is going to be a lot better than last year because they have and we have a fat bald wannabe manager.

It's an irrational feeling to have.

But you have to start twitching at some point.

We are getting a small hint of what slot is about and there's not one shock in it.

433, fast short passing, inverted wingers, overlapping full backs blah blah.

I think a lot of the time fans seem to get this itch when their side doesn't do anything. Spurs fans often get it as levy would want a bargain bucket deadline day deal over an early deal.

I'd rather us get the right signing and ignore most of the press waffle about players being sold or fake links than be like man utd.

100 mil in the hole and not much to show for it. Yoro will have to adapt very quickly and zirkzee just ends up competing with last year's (injured a lot as predicted) signing.

Casemiro to go. God knows who else.

Personally we are "ok" until we are not. But I'm not sure if I am sticking my head in the stand by take thst approach

We then went and won the league.

Now not saying going to happen but sometimes improvements in current players is better then new signings.

I’d imagine the club also working very hard working out what TAA vvd Salah are doing. If they’re signing new contracts then alters what we need. If not then we have to be in for replacements this summer / January
 
We're not going to do much on this window anyway, Slot will be given time to settle and assess first

We were European champions, 2nd by 1 point on a huge number and had added alisson, vvd, fabinho etc.

Right now we were thrid by a decent mark and overall deserved to be third but were not as good as city or arsenal and don't look to be as good as them again

Maybe we have a lot of scope for improvement in certain areas such as bradley, Quansah and of course bajcetic, gravenberch, Szoboszlai and the usual Elliott stuff.

They are young so the scope for improvement is massive.

That gives hope.

We need something to resolve the balance of the side. I feel slot can rid us for the ingrown toenail formation and that will improve us. Too many side are packing out the middle now and it's going to need a new way to go to best it. Width will be the key.

The worry is the forwards. Will slot get the best out of gakpo and Diaz on the left? Will we get a tune out of Jota and nunez?

Are any of them REALLY good enough to compete with Arsenal and city?

Who knows.

Salah amd vvd are short term issues.

Trent isn't actually an issue for me. Bradley might do the job better.
 
Hughes has already said that there will be no signings in July but expect a "crescendo in August". As I've said a few times, funny choice of phrase but crescendo implies more than one or two. Edwards plays his cards close to his chest so I'm thinking there will be a few surprise signings when players have returned from holiday.

Virgil intimated he will be signing new contract, biggest worries are Trent and Salah.
