I don't know, think there were various figures reported ranging from £100m to £250m.

Not sure about £100m; he's 31 and turns 32 in June. Would we get a better offer? Could we replace him?

I'd 100% take the £250m though
The best offer we will get will be from the Saudi league and therein lies the problem. I don't think Salah wants to play there - not yet at least.

If Salah went for a lot - which is prob not going to happen now he is injured
I could see us trying for Mbappe
Genuinely
Hope not but if he came I would support him <cheers>

it's very very clear at this point that nobody should even talk to Saudi unless money is in a verified escrow account that can't be emptied.

I seriously wouldn't be arsed unless 35 like benzema and doing it to retire.

salah supposedly want to achieve things and wants his family educated in England etc. aka they are far to harsh on women and girls.

we will see.

in any event we will find out soon enough.

If we sold Salah for a lot, say £200mill... We could afford to pay Mbappe's salary for almost two years...

... But I still think the money would be better spent elsewhere. I wouldn't sell Salah to fund Mbappe, if we found a billion beneath a seat cushion... Sure, spend a little of it for Mbappe for a few laughs... But otherwise, I don't want Mbappe. It will wreck the wage structure, it will ruin teammanship, etc.

If by whatever 0.05% chance we have, we sign Mbappe, I'll wish him best of luck at the club... But It's not going to happen, nor should it happen.

To whom? No one has been able to buy him for three or four years he's been trying to get out of PSG. No one can afford him.

lfc will pick up a cheaper target and make them a star.

our signings
firmino- an actual risk and seen as expensive back then
mane -proven in prem, seen as cheap
salah - chelsea flop who turned career around
jota - proven in prem
diaz - seen in cl
nunez - seen in cl
gakpo seen in cl.

not a big star there. not one.

when salah goes, (only a matter of time and age) we will either get a proven prem performer or someone who's proven themselves at cl and international level but it will not be a top line star other clubs are queuing up for.

even look at the summer
macallister - proven prem player, nobody else in for him.
Szoboszlai- proven in cl and internationals. nobody else after him
endo. proven internation bit a cheap back up for us. nobody in theor right mind after him.

we are tight relatively speaking and careful with who we buy.

It's all been in preparation for blowing our load at Mbappe
