i fully admit to loathing the useless **** and the fact we let Benny leave and signed that show pony still grates . Knew within 5 mins of his debut he was going to be a total waste when instead of just doing a normal 5 yard diagonal pass he tried a rabona pass and put the ball straight out of play and later got sent off

His prime was quite short and was mainly under Mourinho who made it clear to him no showboating unless it is the only way to pass and had the resources that meant he could enforce

By this i mean he could have set himself of as a paragon of virtue in this post football career in TV or whatever.

what he has done though is tired to move outside the uk to avoid having to pay massive tax on the Saudi earnings when he comes to the uk. If he is more than 90 days in the uk before april 2025 then he is liable for uk tax on those earnings.

I can only presume he's waved a lot of bonuses and such to get out of his deal. Maybe he's even taken a massive hit and would have been better off staying here.

In any event if he stayed at LFC he'd have stood in the centre circle as 6 and we probably wouldn't have bought endo, or at least certainly not have bought gravenberch late on so yeah he'd have played plenty of games

The info is he played a sum total of 17 games or 1727 minutes over there whereas someone like endo who was even used more sparingly by klopp has 25 games under his belt as 1376mins. Gravenberch has been used even less but still has 25games and 1150mins under his belt.

I can only assume henderosn thinks he should be starting and is owed something.

When this guy is 40 or 50 do we see him being a pundit on tv? I thnk not at this point. He will maybe struggle to get a slot given the controversy

He's going to Ajax.

More likely to follow him, not to Ajax but out of the Saudi league. Firmino reportedly not settled there either and there are others.

They are all badly advised as anyone form uk who is uk tax resident need to stay out of uk until April l2025 to not get taxed.

if if he'd thought to have done 12 months in the hell hole then this july in 2024 he would have been stung with the tax on his payments there (cannot call them earnings)

he has clearly decided that he will pay the suadi tax bill for not staying 12 months but the tax liability is so much he has to to to holland for 12 months now (seaosn and a half) to avoid paying the tax here.

I've no idea about the amounts involved and couldn't guess. Unless he stayed in Saudi until he retired, his most likely destination would have been European or maybe even USA, not England, so he would always have kept the money from the taxman. I wonder if we'll get an exit interview from him.

Not necessarily about feeling like you're owed something. If you've been an integral part of a successful team, maybe you just won't be happy in the same environment as a bit part; "what was" staring you in the face every day. Maybe he just needed a change and made a silly (very silly) decision

My understanding is that Klopp meets every player as soon as preseason is back and they discuss the commitment to the season ahead. Henderson clearly came back in tip top shape for day 1 but very quickly after that these things started happening.

I can only assume henderson didn't give a flat out no to Gerrard at the outset and encouraged the move after finding he wasn't assure of a place in the team.

I'm fully confident that as we speak henderson is much much wealthier if he can get the money out of Saudi but is poorer in terms of fitness and quality minutes played.
