Nah I don't think so. £50m is the price and we should stick to it.
if you don't ask more then you are too nice to be in pro football as a club.
you know we apparently have it.

I do find it odd you've done this though. I've read on here a lot before that you only go for players who want to play for Liverpool and that you don't get involved in bidding wars.
Seem to have gone away from that completely with this. Seems a bit strange?

Yeah anyone we approach now will know we have £110 million to blow so can see us being quoted some inflated prices.if you don't ask more then you are too nice to be in pro football as a club.

The problrm is our new owners have publically stated that we want a Dortmund like model of buying young with the pitch of you'll get a big move in a couple of years.
Presumably we informed Lavia early in the window that he can go if our valuation is met and to go back on that would be poor form and make other youngsters think twice about joining imo. Our selling point is that you'll get a big move and if we're seen to be moving goalposts and being unreasonable then that selling point suddenly doesn't seem as appealing
A hefty sell on would be nice though.
Looks like I was right to sit quietly and wait, all seems a bit of a mess. Well soon see when the dust settles.
Late night purchases you regret later, we've all been there.Simply can't fathom why we'd chuck a £111m bid in at 3 am without actually speaking to the players and his representatives.![]()
Seems a little far fetched.I think it was all fake to run up the price Chelsea had to pay and delay him arriving.
No way Chelsea can hijack Moises Caicedo deal, the train has already left. What a slap on the face by Liverpool?.

Don't panic dude it'll be okay.As pointed out earlier Dribs, the 'deal' between the clubs was agreed, but not by the player himself. We've royally ****ed-up. We actually put the biggest bid in of our history - and didn't check with the player himself. Mickey Mouse level of professionalism, and you could see from Klopp this morning at his conference that he knew all this then. And for those thinking that we have £111m to spend now, remember this - we may have thought that last year when Tchumanai rejected us, but FSG turned around and said they wouldn't spend money on anyone who wasn't a long-term target.
What an incredible, humiliating mess - we wouldn't spend £90m on Bellingham, a player who wanted to come to us, or £90m on Gvardiol, who also said how much he wanted to be at Anfield: but we'd spend £111m on a player who only wants to go to Chelsea.
Klopp will walk by Christmas.![]()

this lad is severely misreading the room.
given his idiocy in signing that new contract why should we be surprised?
If he wants to rub LFC fans up the wrong way and never be taken to he is going about it exactly the right way.
I'm sticking to the line that we have just jumped the bid on Chelsea in hope of forcing them to pay far too much for the player and end up having to sell colwill
in fact the more I think about this excuse the better it gets.
We've prevented them strengthening before our game sunday.
We've cost them 25mil or so.
We've made the player look at twat.
But best of all... we've proved that FSG back the manager without actually needing to pay any money to do so.
Happily join… think we all know his agents are total ****s but they really aren’t helping themselves. Not setting a great public image. I’m sure if he had doubts we’d pull out though
