That's a lot of money, and whereas I don't know if the price was worth it, I know he was my preferred target out of him and Lavia, so I'm happy. (I'm not an accountant and it's not my money, so I'm happy)

Of course.cant get too excited. Let's wait until the ink is dry on the contract first since Chelsea could still mess this up for us.

Just a minute folks. Bellingham was the golden boy, the perfect fit and he supposedly wanted to come to Liverpool. But it was decided that he was too expensive and we lost him. Now we are talking £111 million for another player, a good player but perhaps not as good as Bellingham. Meanwhile, we could not afford to get the Lavia deal over the line.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Caicedo is a very good player and it would be a great signing but I am having trouble joining the dots here

Bellingham wanted Madrid, we therefore moved on - this shows if he wanted us we’d have done it
