its amazing how no matter what dislike one person happens to take, or how under rated a player might be in general by the media, teams will really miss top players
Its claimed LFC have never replaced Wijnaldum (despite getting close to a quadruple), have not replaced mane, have no way to replace Firmino and simply cannot replace henderson.
I've heard the same stuff many, many times over many, many fine players.
Gerrards, Hyypias, torres', suarezs and so forth and so on.
It seems to me that players are only missed when they go but then the sky falls in for some folk. There will always be another player and its down to how many right and wrong calls the club makes over time as to what results we bring.
Right now as a 433 we have

so really we are looking at prior decisions in mdifield and defence zone already costing us.
1. we've decided for 2/3 season that we'd buy kids at rb as no cover was needed
2. we've decided to let players age out or contract out and wither in mdifeld and not buy to get forwards in.
3. we've decide to not sell others at times and let whatever value they had fall.
For me if you add 2 cms to that mix for the first team it might be relatively competitive despite not being as lethal or means as before.
The CB situation is again not good.
The RB situation needs resolution. Either play a RB or tell trent he is the RB and to get with the program.
