Nunez is having double language sessions to try and advance a bit quicker. Thiago is his interpreter by all accounts. As to his progress on the field, I read that his first season at Benfica was similar to how he's performed here but in his second season his numbers exploded. Could be a pattern. Not sure how fluent he is in Portuguese or if it helped

Gvardiol would be a huge signing but feel like will be too expensive this summer. Talk of around £90m for him and given the need for midfield reinforcements, can’t see us spending that big on a defender.

It's a common misconception that you need a HG quota. You don't. In a 25 man squad only 17 can be non-homegrown. You don't have to have 8 homegrown .... or 7 or 6 or 5 ....
