You have said this a few timesWell I have said fairly consistently our budget looks to be 50mil a year net
I stand by that on that evidence. if we spend more we are borrowing it from future transfer years.
it's really that simple. other clubs are running up debts, look at spurs. look at how arsenal's cash at hand has dwindled to nothing funding that splurge that's got them up there.
look at man utd debt. yet fans just dmenad more and more and angrily accuse glaziers of this and that then turn on managers but never players. long may it continue.
the simple fact is eventually clubs will have to fold if they keep running these debts. valencia is the warning for big clubs
You have said this a few times
And whilst I agree with a lot of what you have said
The bigger clubs just will not fold
Someone will bail them out - like what has happened at Chelsea
also to have our spend above City Btw - just funny - so not sure how reliable these numbers can be
I have said it before but I actually think the ESL is the solution
Just get these greedy ****ers out of the game for good and be done with it
Except we are not talking about clubs, we are talking about oil states. At present, we have City and Newcastle but Mancs could be in the same situation if the sale goes ahead. Our current net spend is that of a mid table club and our performance this season is similar. If we cannot compete for top players we can forget Champions League or the Premier League. We will be scrapping for the domestic cups and probably not win much

It's not about the spend, it's what you spend it on. Chelsea are a fine example this season.

Conflicting reports of Monaco's Sporting Director, Paul Mitchell, in talks with Liverpool regarding a summer move.
Possibly .... as our new Sporting Director. We're signing their sporting director?
Possibly .... as our new Sporting Director.
Do you say 'signing' when referring to coaches and non-playing staff?

Hiring?
That's why I said conflicting reports. There are quite a few links (some French) saying it's on and a few saying he may renew his contract with Monaco. Reading up on him, it would be a good appointment by us if we did get him.Pretty sure Ornstein said that Mitchell was out of the running for the job?
