Chelsea are also held back by a prior transfer ban making them look good.

You have said this a few times
And whilst I agree with a lot of what you have said
The bigger clubs just will not fold
Someone will bail them out - like what has happened at Chelsea

also to have our spend above City Btw - just funny - so not sure how reliable these numbers can be

I have said it before but I actually think the ESL is the solution
Just get these greedy ****ers out of the game for good and be done with it

yes, valencia never folded but look at the state of them.

Chelsea is absolute madness. they could be the same.

In fairness to the city cheats.... (hard but we have to be)

they did break even this year (in theory) cos they sold jesus and zinchenko and cost themselves the title as a result (the haaland figures are well dodgy based on release clause AND the payments that are going on. his wage was reported at <400k a week and it was then leaked he was on 900k a week.

the season before they sold torres to buy grealish so net came in fairly reasonable

the season before it was 100mil+ spend. the reaction to us daring to win. Dias, ake, torres

the season before it was 100mil+ as well. Rodri, cancello, angelino

they don't actually buy that many players under guardiola and they don't actually need to.

I personally think theres a lot going on under the table still. esp with agents but we can't really prove that on the internet can we?

Except we are not talking about clubs, we are talking about oil states. At present, we have City and Newcastle but Mancs could be in the same situation if the sale goes ahead. Our current net spend is that of a mid table club and our performance this season is similar. If we cannot compete for top players we can forget Champions League or the Premier League. We will be scrapping for the domestic cups and probably not win much

Well this is all true. newcastle have jumped from zero to 100mil+ per season. they are trying to play the poor mouth game and cheslea are providing them a nice cover to hide behind.

its absolutely inevitable that newcastle will establish as top 4 and go on eventually to win things once they clear out all the **** players and manager.

same as you'd expect arsenals net spend to get to top 4. (thier progress to 2nd is as a result of us being **** and 1st due to city being well off their normal form)

man utd fans want qatar to release unlimited billions to buy every player under the sun to whinge about. garry neville wants a vanity stadium named in his honour. they don't give a stuff about debt or anything else once its not glazier debt.

Inevitably thought the golden goose will get cooked. its survived 2008, 202 and is not headed into the next global crisis, the other 15/16 clubs only survive by getting a share of tv revenues while these clubs are vanity projects using the same tv exposure to look good.

It's not about the spend, it's what you spend it on. Chelsea are a fine example this season.

Possibly .... as our new Sporting Director.

Do you say 'signing' when referring to coaches and non-playing staff?

Was rumours of that few months ago. Very highly respected. Was at Red Bull clubs for a while as well so in terms of the type of player and system played def would match ours

I'd say it could be either. Signing a player is effectively hiring them

Pretty sure Ornstein said that Mitchell was out of the running for the job?

That's why I said conflicting reports. There are quite a few links (some French) saying it's on and a few saying he may renew his contract with Monaco. Reading up on him, it would be a good appointment by us if we did get him.
