No point in looking at freebies

Isco is the only one worth noting and by the sounds of it he wants big wages.

look, these guys are never free. they are a complete hassle.

their club didn't want them so their fitness will be in the toilet. its now nearly mid feb and it'd take 2/3 months to get anyone fit. That's seasons end stuff.

what we do not need is another "technical" player like isco.

I don't think there is much chance of getting Jude if we continue playing so badly

Am i the only one who thinks we can't afford a expensive midfielder considering we need preferably 3 but at least 2 plus preferably one CB and possibly one RB . So go far £20-£40m max but buy well .
I think we will get at least two mids considering departures, and I think we will spend big on one of them.
I also think we will at least be in the conversation for Jude B.

lfc budget = 50mil net. just make that assumption cos that in effect last two seasons

kelleher 25mil
Phillips 5mil (it's getting stupid now, he should have gone for 10 last summer)

a big fat zero for everyone else bar maybe fabinho but we won't be getting much there.

that's 80mil to spend folks.

whatever else about the squad wages going down massively due to free transfers we still have to find another 100 mil to afford Bellingham and one more cm

Don’t see that making a difference. Fsg will either put hands I. Pocket and let us go buy 2 quality midfielders or won’t and we won’t afford Bellingham anyway.

I don’t think price makes a difference though. If they want Bellingham they’ll pay for him.

Dont think can say we’ll go buy 3 players for 40m instead of 1 for 100m. Doesn’t really work like that

Either that, or because we haven't been spending, we now have a heck of a lot more to spend. The way they amortize players these days, we might be opening up a lot more funds this summer than we've had in a while.

Truth is, none of us know if we're going to spend £2mill or £200mill.

well if we go down the route of spunking it all on one midfielder and they then get an ACL injury in first game of the season we will be ****ed

all I am saying is the average number is now 50mil. it used to be 40mil and was remarkably consistent.

in fact if you take that one mad year at 120mil and average the next 2 it came to 40mil all together.

unless fsg allow us to borrow the cash ( they have refused before) then I'm assuming it's 50mil

Our income has gone up but our spending hasn't. It does make you wonder why. Is it all going into the stadium and training facilities, or are we finally going to see some on the field. Eventually our increased income has to come back and help us.

no idea but all Im saying is the numbers seem to line up to tell a story.
