Remember this. It wasn't a rushed, scrawled message on a bed sheet, it was well thought out and professionally done.

Get your point but that would be quicker to do than scrawling on a bed sheet <laugh>

It’s brill isn’t it :)
Have you made the jump yet :) ?

I'm into it mate, but had a little incident that showed why I can't go into coaching.

My eldest came to watch and was chatting to me, the linesman spun and shouted at him.

Well to say I had words is an understatement. But it did illustrate that I can't keep my mouth shut enough to be in a position of responsibility.

Bed sheet, tin of paint = 20 minutes. Professional printing job, travel to, travel from, travel back to and back from (I don't know any that do print while you wait) = a lot longer than 20 minutes. <whistle>

If you work in a printers, 5mins tops

This is it.

Would you still be red if we got relegated?
Would you still be red if we went bankrupt and had to start again?

Ownership is just another little blip in the ever continuing story, I'd prefer it if I didn't know who owned any club, but those days are gone.
the thing is traditionally fans did know who owned the club as it was normally a local man who had done well an obvious example for us in my time being the Moores family who owned the neighbours but also held a significant stake in us at the same time .

I think for a number of the lower league clubs that still holds true.

Don't anyone would stop supporting / following the club. I won't like it but I guess it'll be "normal" when every PL club as that much money. That's one way of making it 'fair' too I suppose

No, but I was useless that weekend too.

I have to stand by myself, I have a tenancy to mutter a constant opinion on the game. It tends to wind the other parents up.

I think its a scouse thing, but I can't get through more than 3 sentences with out an expletive, it's like punctuation. I cant imagine little tristens parents being to happy to hear my instructions for the match where get down the ****ing wing, you've got the left back on ****ing toast.

Latest transfer news after reading online this am.

Apparently we're buying every midfielder who is at the world cup and several strikers too.

Lots of links to Gakpo and Kudus. Tbf we've been linked with Gakpo - approx £40m - long before the WC (I've read that he's doing alright so far). Caceido links too but at an extortionate price.

As an aside, lots of talk about it being Pep Ljinders who people can't get on with behind the scenes in the transfer situation. Allegedly he wants too much say which seems odd because I can't see Klopp letting that go on. Again, all speculation.

Linked: Bellingham, Gakpo, Mount, Rice, Amrabat, Laimer, Enzo Fernandez, Kudus.

We're going to be spoiled for options next year.. <laugh>

I'm still expecting another Arthur Melo. Someone no one is expecting.

Gakpo has an agent working hard on a plan to get him a big move anywhere. he's linked all over the place lads. theres zero point paying any attention to that kind of rumour mill.

Mount is just after a bigger contract at Chelsea.

Rice is just lazy hackery. west ham are in trouble now cos they've overpriced the asset when they had power ande that power is rapidly running out. he has also turned down 200k a week. He wants cheslea. we all know it really.

Laimer is going to bayern.

Amrabat is one of those usual world cup links nobody can tell if its hacks or agents, or something else.

Kudus doesn't really make a lot of sense frankly.

Enzo Fernandez makes more sense but you have to factor in the old agent stuff. he's bee linked to man utd first and any time then other clubs start coming up you have to suspect its to keep the name in lights. its the same old stuff really

We clearly need players jan 1 not jan31 but at this point its very highly doubtful the club will do anyhting until we are out of the race for top 4.

Seriously though, IF we're being sold, and IF it's to a serious buyer rather than carpet-bagging asset-strippers like Hicks and Gillet, surely there is nothing in the rules to stop FSG from going on a billion-pound spree in January to strengthen the squad, then lump it onto the debts of the club as a loan to be paid off a-la Chelsea and their one-and-a-half billion debt to Abramovich that was paid off without a peep? It would surely be within the new owners' interest (if they are serious) to circumvent FFP like Chelsea did, or should we just hope we get owners who are rich enough to bung the CAS like City's owners did?
