Yeah, think that idea was mooted further up. Not a huge leap from false 9 to 8, and remember, a lot of people initially balked at the idea of turning Ray Kennedy into a left-midfielder from a centre-forward, a move Kevin Keegan described as a master-stoke. I think we should be developing Joe as a number 6 too - I can't see anything that Dier does that he can't do.

And maybe we could loan somebody for a year, assuming we can actually sign a pre-agreement with Dortmund for Bellingham, because a lot can happen in a year, and it looks like Barca may well be back in the money next season. If Spurs are getting Bissouma for £25m, we've missed a trick there, we really have.

We can approach him in January for a pre agreement or whatever it's called.
 
Former Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi could be making his way back to England this summer, with Sky Germany reporting that Nottingham Forest are keen to sign the striker.
When Awoniyi moved to Union Berlin for £6.5m, Liverpool inserted a 10 per cent sell-on clause into the deal and given his release clause stands at €20m (£17m), they could be set to bank another small sum.

Said the other day I think it’s a huge year for Elliott Jones Carvalho. They have a chance here to show that we don’t need to invest next summer. Only place is maybe favs cover but wouldn’t mind seeing Hendo develop that role in ‘easier’ games to give fab a rest.

Could conceivably go 4231 In which case have Hendo fab thisgo for those 2 roles with Elliott/carvahlo/Jones/firmino competing for that 10 role behind the 9.

None of Thiago, Henderson and Fabinho are very far from injuries.

Zero cover for Fabinho and we don't really ever offer an attacking option from midfield, it's by far our weakest area.
