Contract running down, clearly Barca aren't offering what the agent wants or he just wants out. Either way they're trying to stir up interest in the hope someone blinks.
Yup. Its all about keeping his name out there so there's some small bit of urgency on either the real buying side or the barca contract side.
In reality I don't actually know what this kind of game really does for anyone.
He is now officially out of contract and barca season is over so he really ought to be getting on with it or whoever was really the intended new club should have him for preseason etc.
The fact its still trundling along suggests he's not got the offer he wants yet.

Nkuku would seem like the right kind of player. Can play across from 3 although mainly from the left so maybe not a high priority unless Jota is made into a central only striker.
24 so just at right age, great season last year in terms of goals and assists and plays for RBL who we obviously have previous connections with.
I do wonder as well if we go in for a left footed winger, whether might see Salah play more centrally. Seems to have lost that bit of pace and burst (may have been fatigue at end of season) and has played centrally before for us and scored goals. Would be very different from the false 9 role though so I guess depends how klopp sees us setting up next year. Always an option in some games though

Didn't Mané say he had "special news" for after the final? Is him leaving considered special news for the fans? To be special it would have to involve a swap deal with Lewandowski coming our way

Doubt we’ll get half that. Phillips prob about £5m. Missed out on big fee last summer after he played games for us.
Williams might get £10m, £15m at a big push but can’t see clubs spending that on a player with half a season of football under his belt.

He doesn't fit the profile, plus Klopp tends to not want the same player twice but if it's Mané to Bayern for £30m or £30m and Lewandowski, I'd say that could be seen as the 'special' news he was on about.
Btw I don't think it will happen, just idle speculation on my part trying to raise my enthusiasm after the events of the weekend knocked it out of me.
