We would. But a foreign club would only have to pay a small fee so it’s a risk for Fulham. If they know they’re going to lose him in summer, you’d think would make most sense to get s deal doen for what ever value now.

Also if the deal is always going to be stay at Fulham, wonder if it’s not really vital it’s done before the deadline. Could just agree a fee and agree deal isn’t completed until end of season and wouldn’t have to be done before window closes today.

If a foreign club comes in for him in the summer, Fulham will be entitled to no compensation.

If we get him on a free in the summer, then we will have to pay compensation - bear in mind that we only paid £4.3m for Elliot and Fulham wanted at least double that, plus it's a very long winded process.

If we get him for £5m in January, then Fulham secure an easy £5m and keep the player for next 6 months.

Can't help but feel that this deal gets done today ...

I think Fulham may try and squeeze a couple million more out of us but Klopp and negotiating team will walk away if this looks like the player isn't fully committed to the move.

Trouble is, if we've bid £5m already, a tribunal will be at least that amount. A tribunal isn't going award less than they'd have got anyway

can you explain where he will actually play in thier line up, brentford didn't need this one to stay up so it'll be interesting to see if this is a "plan" or just ego at being in the prem.
 
Deli Ali to Everton. No idea on cost, but anything over £0 is a good deal for them. Waste of a talent with poor attitude.
